I'm an mot'er and have read the governing book inside and out several times in order to gain access to a smart card. the legality is if theres no seats then obviously there is no belts needed, unless the car is pre 86 might be wrong on year actualy haha or another alternative is if the seats or sideways facing they also need no belts. a tester only tests what has been put in front of him so you dont need to inform the dvla and the mot garage wont either. weer not the police weer just there to make sure the cars safe for the road. heres a good one 2. the only vehicles that dont need a horn to pass mot are pre 1906 vehicles certified by the London Science Museum designed before the 1 January 1905 which can have a gong, bell or siren haha.a crack chip in your windscreen???? take the nice person out. If they aren't accessible then they cannot be tested and will therefore fail. That's why i had to take mine out.

well i got stoped in my car i had no back seats bit 2 pepole in the back straped in the cooper said you are not going ne were with your friends in the back like that because they are not restrained propley because they will slide out of the seatbelt the seatbelt needs a backrest to work

take the back seats out and the seatbelts and dont carry ne 1 in the back is the easyest thing and when mot day comes easy its a van

dont get caght by the fuzz with passsengers in the bask without all the seats in there and the seats have to be bolted down for the mot i no theat mutch

think a mot man may go a lil mad if you have no seats in the back but left the seatbelts in

if your car is before a certon year and dosent come with rear seatbelts form the factory then you dont need to have seatbelts there for the mot but it can still have rear seats

you should get cheeper inshorance as your car is now onley a 2 seater so you can onley have 2pepole hurt after a crash rarther than 4

my mate has a 4seater car but can onley take 2 in it it makes his inshorance cheeper

just red it 3 door cars with back seats the front seats must flip up easley so the back seat passangers can get out easley in the event of a crash

yes but if theres no back seats then the fronts can be welded to the floor, and is there any point in telling the insurance if it only goes up by 2% lol

My insurance went down when i removed the rear seats as i could then only carry one passenger.

Vr6 man you should make it clear that the MOT is for the car as it was tested.

If you take the seats out, get an MOT then put the seats back in you will be in trouble.
