Polo Gt 1991 - Calypso Green

Featured Replies

My dad is selling his GT, he's just bought another car (+ we have a surplus amount of VW's  )

It's a 1991 GT coupe in calypso green, in pretty good condition - standard condition as far as i can tell; a good base car! It's done 126k

bodywork

The bodywork looks clean enough, no rusty spots - somebody has however cleaned the roof with something that they shouldn't, it's lost paint in areas but due to the colour of the car it's not a massive issue, could be touched up with a can pretty easily. There is a small dent on the rear hatch (check the pics, nothing bad) and apart from that it's all straight.

interior

interior is standard, i'll give it a clean in the next few days.

engine

Seems smooth enough, i'm not all that great with the injection due to being a carb guy. Can take a few seconds to start from cold. But the engines are pretty bullet proof and tuneable.

Price

£700ono

Located in plymouth

Anyway, some pics....

is it a conversion or an original GT?

Does the sunroof leak?

I'm very interested but need to wait for the verdict on my current car as might be written off

Turns out the speedo cable has snapped, i havn't time to replace it before the auction ends, but it is not a difficult job!

The 12 months MOT is as of today -

The ebay auction ends tomorrow, no reserve.
