afternoon guy and girls i was just wondering what price other 17/18 year olds are paying on their modded polos because i can only get quoted around the 4-5000 £££ mark anywhere and if you are getting quoted less than that.... where??

well i was 17 when i got my quot coz i just past and mine is 1600 with no years clames and that is just wiv me as the names driver

its a 1.4 8v se mk4 avent told them about the mods but i av been meaning to do it tho , but I'm going to to it wiv my new alloys once i get them

when I first passed my 1 lire mark3 was just over 1K a year as a named driver, with quinn they don't count alloys etc as mods, only engine mods.

Had one accident, now its about £1400 as a named driver, but still 17. So hopefully will come back down whem I'm 18, plus I'm cosidering doing pass plus because I've heard i brings it down upto 25%.

£600 named driver on a 1.2 mk7 polo. Insured upto £1000 of I.C.E etc.

£700, 1.3 polo, 1995 with 5 mods declaied. Am 19

i'm 17 and got my test in 3 weeks, been quoted for when i pass on my mk3 polo declaring interior changes on my own policy only driver etc... £968

I'm 18..... iv got a polo 6n2 gti and my insurance is 1200 quid and iv got 1 years no claims!

My previous 1 litre was just over a grand with all the mods declared (lowering etc).

What quotes have u had?

Cosmetic mods are normally added to your policy free of charge, Performance will have some money to pay but it is dependent on the Insurer you are with.

all these "performance/modding" insurers charge admin fees!

While we're on the topic of insurance, can someone tell me whether a 6n2 polo gti for a first car will be too expensive? I'm planning on getting one once I've finished uni at which time ill be 23. likewise, will the 1.4 16v 6n be significantly cheaper on insurance? 8-)

I'm 18. With Quinn., on a 1l 6n2. Only mods done are visual. No proformance mobs. so they dont charge me for that. 1 years driving experience. 650! £.

^^ I'm the same as that but with a 1.4 8v 6n and paying a grand more!
