i got pulled over by traffic police because they thought i was speeding

then he questioned my bumper, then said my wheels were poking out too much so there illegal, & that my suspension was too stiff so they were illegal aswel!

wtf!!!!!!!!!!!

there road legal, no tread pokes out

i can understand the plate but that was their last concern

recovery truck had to come pick it up cos they were too scared to drive it LOL cos 'its too dangerous' now its not being inspected till monday where i now have ti wait for a verdict

i explained it passed its mot in that state, theres no clear law on stretch or side wall poking out etc but he didnt give a shit

i know were all tired of hearing 'i got pulled today threads' but I'm sooooo pissed off & upset

they fucking took it off me!

The thing about stiff suspension etc is bullshit.

What was their reason for confiscating it? Because it was too dangerous to be on the road? They don't usually confiscate cars unless they have no insurance.

If your coilies are TUV approved, which they obviously are, then you will have your car straight back no problems I'm guessing?

are you running fat spacers on it? the only real "dangeruse" thing i can see is that if you have spacers on it they could be putting un-necacery strain on the wheel studs.

or if your wheel studs dont have many turns of thread holding the wheels on.

but how the hell a copper could jump to that conclusion without taking the wheel off and examening it i dont know.

i got pulled in southport about a month ago and just because there was me and two other 17yearold lads in the car, after checking all my documents (which i luckely had on me) he made me strip the cars interior cos he thought we had weed on us or somthing WTF???

I agree that this sounds like another case of a power crazed cop upto no good. I'd be down the police station now infact demanding to know why my car is illegal, what proof they have that it is and what rights i have as teh car owner.

If they have fucked up which i suspect is the case, write a letter of complaint to the top policeman (whoevers in charge) of your county. He MUST look into the complaint, write his findings and send you a report. Learnt this from my mates dad

Plates - on the spot fine.. wheels, grey area so producer would be the appropriate action to take.. suspension?? wtf?

They have no right to do this, how the hell can they decide how stiff a suspension is? lift the car up in the air and see if the coilover moves? bloody ridiculous....
