Sorry to highjack a little but I've been hearing about and seeing some stuff that is increadibly unprofessional realating to the police. I was walking past elephant and castle underground station a few days ago....i could hear KRS-one 'sound of the police' playing really loud in the distance, like it was coming from a car, next thing i knew a police van full of uniformed city police, some off which hanging out the windows....bombing it around the round about playing sound off the police on the vans megaphones....i actually couldnt believe what i was seeing....

Sorry to rant on but what happened to you dude sounds well out of order....it sounds unproffessional, petty and complete waste of everyones time and money....it just seems like the police are getting ever more cocky and pathetic. There seems to be a lack of 'good' cops and an abundance of 'bad' cops atm....

yeah it was pretty funny and a good choice whoop whoop....but in a city where my street gets closed of every other week because there's been a stabbing, that kind of irresponsibility shown by the service that is meant to be protecting the community is actually quite shocking....

yeah i agree with DKnight... you need to know what law you've broken/ what the cop thinks you've broken. everything needs proof nowadays, people need to cover themselves etc. i'd want him to tell me exactly what law i've broken.

2.1.2. In short, the wheel must NOT protrude more than 30mm past the edge of the mudguard.

road traffic regs are sooo blanket so they can mop-up anything they liek with em...

I know it's cliché but they should catch some real criminals. All of the police i have dealt with in Leeds are wankers and think they run shit, and traffic cops are the same with bigger ego's. I hope you told him exactly what you thought of him when they took your car away. Some of them need a good kick in for sure. I have yet to find a helpful police officer, even when i was a victim of an armed robbery they still spoke to me like they had a chip on their shoulder. Hard to have respect for the police force when all of them you see are wastemen. Things like this reinforce my lack of respect for the police.

I carry my extendable wheel brace in my door card, nothing illegal about it. A police woman actually told me how it was a good idea as it could be used in self defence if the situation required it, but it's not illegal as you're not purposely carrying a telescopic baton around with you.
