I'm looking to take off the Polo badge from the boot and spray the VW front & rear badges black ir anthricite.

Just looking for a bit of advice really,

- Whats the best way to remove the polo badge without scoring the boot?

with the front, all i did was take the grille off and remove the badge, then sand it a little bit, prime, paint and laquer it with halfrauds stuff. let it dry well between coats and put back in. Havnt done the rear but i think they are more tricky

So does the badge just pop out of the grille?

I'm thinking of doing them mat black so might not need Laquer?

it took a bit of careful persuasion with a few tricky clips but it did come out lol.

mine are matt black, bit with a light spray of laquer to offer a little protection. still looks matt black tho!

Remove the polo badge by heating it with a hairdrier, then pour hot - not boiling - water over it to loosen up the sticky glue. Then use a credit card to cut away at the lettering like a saw. The letters will then come off and a residue of stickyness will be left behind. Use autoglym intensive tar remover to get rid of this residue and then finally a bit of t-cut on the area to match the colour back up :) Takes about 10 mins to do.
