oh aye boyo I'm from larne got a mrk 2 gti 8 valver in red and a 6n 16 valver which I'm restoring bits of atm. full gearbox recon loads of money spent looking to buy a 16 16v gti engine and back axle for a back break conversion. is there many people from northern ireland on these forums?

I have a seat ibiza just to get me back on the road, but hopefully again i will have a gti again, or I'm really beginning to like the 6n 16 valves, euro look of course

ill need to stick with a cheapish set util i can afford my BBS ones

seat ibizas aint all bad, my friend actually had a 6n until he got banned,

drives about in an ibiza around the back roads to come him sane until his ban is up

then he's getting a 16v one too :grin:

Those rims i have are ronal ls there £132 a rim from dubmeister or you can get lensos they both look like bbs rs/rms

You will pay a fortune for real bbs

Never been there mate. Never actually been at any cruises/gatherings. The G40 is uninsured and mot is out of date, and the 6n is also out of tax and mot, so ill be off the road for a month or two!!

aye its usually pants go up maybe once every couple of months. i used to have a few polo coupes i think one was the gt. you doing much with the g40? there was one in ballyclare a while ago sounded sweet and was nippy. ill get pics up asap :)

Done a bit to the G40, respray, new wheels etc.

Engine is at 160bhp which is plenty fast. Just trying to make it as reliable as possible, and clean

Bought it from a guy in Antrim (he is on this site too, he has another G now) so could very well have been the one you saw!

the g40 is the rod lol i couldnt find very many of them for sale and ther'e big money i herd they g40 and the g60 had problems with oil pressure and seals and stuff but ill hopefully own one some day :) i have my 6n sittin round 110 - 115 not exact but it can shift might try the 1.6 gti bottom end and get my head skimmed maybe give me a bit more power if all else fails ill just buy a 2001 seat cupra and do the conversion. i am a fan of sleepers my m8 has a 2.0 redtop turbo corsa and its great fun :) 160 bhp would be great in a polo :)

usually alot of cars just go down and sit in the car park the odd time thers diffin and stuff and quite a few nice cars sumtimes its packed clean out sumtimes not but I'm not often down bangor on a sunday nite and used 2 be sumwat of a cruise in ballyclare on a wednesday but its poor. any one no of any vw meets gti ni i think have a few but dinny no much bout it
