I've just sold my car on ebay (on bids, it finished last night)

the guy whos won it is from N. ireland and i live in north wales so its a ferry trip basicaly that struck me as a hassle and an expense to the buyer, ut hey his choice init

and he emailed after the auction to say that he wanted to pick up the weekend after next the 14th or 15th, which is a pain because i need the money asap, i would have appreciated an email to ask before bidding especialy since he only has 5 feedback, but I've said that its fine because i dont really have a choice and I'm just happy its sold tbh

but i have asked for a deposit of £250

do you think thats out of order or??

I'm just tryna orotect myself a bit, because at the end of the day iv had my time wasted twice already and dont wanna wait a weeka need a half for him not to show up

You're right to ask for a deposit. Most people do these days and I would too. Hope it goes ok for you.

hate selling cars on ebay, 9/10 times the buyer doesnt turn up, always request a deposite

usually its a 10 or 20% deposit 24hrs after auction end and then the remainder on collection.

the car went for £1400 so less than 20% is what I'm asking for

were in north wales are u ?? lol always ask for a deposit !!

let ebay know about it

file a complaint against him

and when thats sorted your have to relist it and hope that some one who wants it wins it

only 3 LOL i had 10 items on ebay before crimbo and 9 of them where won by time wasters

there's a lot of wankers on ebay buyers and sellers

When you re list make sure you state winning bidder must pay X deposit, due to time wasters

will definetly make sure i put that this time lol
