How rubbish is this years championship? The only manafacturers are Citroen and Ford, all the good drivers have gone, its only Loeb left and we know he will win AGAIN cus all the good drivers and manafacturers have gone. I dont beleive it, and for an extra bonus we have that ponce on Dave reporting it. I need some 555 scooby/evo 3 and mcrae/burns therapy!

I know and I agree, but wouldnt it be better if there were more drivers like him and cars other than citroen and ford? Its a bit unfair lol

get your self down to your local road rally !!!!

BTCC is good, and we'll see what the BBC can do with F1 :-)

car motor sport is pretty crap i think.touring cars is ok and so it rallycross...all about moto gp and wsb and bsb:)...just my opinion..

he won rally ireland there on sunday!

there were a few wrc stages 15 mins from where i live.

didnt get to it but i heard it was shit due to loeb winning nearly every stage.

iirc they were all running snow tires due to the wet/icy/snowy conditions.

WRC is really fucked this year. Desperately needs a big shake up or there'll be no manufacturers left in it soon.

I don't know what the answer is, I guess it needs to cut it's costs like F1 is trying to do. Be great if they could do something like the group B era where homologation only requires a handful of road cars to be made. But I doubt they'd let group b happen again (rightly so since it cost people their lives).

I've been pretty turned off by WRC for a couple of years now, I used to absolutely love it when I was younger, I could've watched it all day long back in the early and mid 90s. Even the early 00s were ok but it just seems to have stagnated in recent years, the cars are boring, the drivers are boring. The coverage on Dave doesn't help either, I don't like it.

i've heard that the rules of wrc are changing in 2011 so that it only allows cars without any engine/performance mods to be used...so no more quarter of a million quid cars!

not totally sure on this but i heard a few people on about it.

yes group b bring it back lol at least the drivers had to actually control the car then, watched a thing on that matt wilson and he was saying its really easy to drive! launch control pppfff its not a damn rocket lol

sorry lol they're just getting downgraded slightly! hard to go by things that you hear out and about :p

They will see cars based on the current Super 2000 and Group N machines. The vehicles will be fitted with a supplementary kit including a turbo and rear-wing additions, although the kit must be able to be fitted to or removed from the car within a defined time limit which has yet to be determined.

metro 6r4,ford rs2000,audi quattro,lancia delta intergrale...those were the days

been to every british round of motogp since i was 3 :D

But I doubt they'd let group b happen again (rightly so since it cost people their lives).

tbh with all the advances in car design and the safety features i doubt there would be people getting killed left right and center, things have moved a long way since the 80.

besides if you valued your live so much you wouldn't be standing next to a mud track while a car power slides past you at 100mph+, rallying is probably the only sport other than bull running where the spectators have more balls than the people taking part

ford rs2000,

think you mean RS200, although the RS2000 was a massive part of rallying history, judging by the other cars you mentioned with it i think you just got a little over exited with your 0's

to be fair tho and although i do think there awesome, group b did kill quite a few people and the current cars are actually quicker anyways.

Has gone pete tong just lately although watching all the incidents in the irish WRC did make me chuckle.

The guy who ate a telegraph pole and the two guys who managed to park in the same dyke minutes apart were the two best bits.

ye chris atkinsons crash was awesome, was the second car in the ditch not a silver 6n2? could have sworn it was!

all about the btcc tbf

I think BTCC is alright, not a patch on what it was though.

Neal and Plato are the drivers that keep it alive to some extent.

It was much better in the 90s and early 2000s when the bigger manufacturers were in it:

Audi, Peugeot, Volvo, Renault, Nissan, Honda and Ford. I may have missed one.

Then they killed it by taking them all out of it.

Yes the WRC is buggered for now, No Subaru!, no Montecarlo . Almost better watching the IRC (from what they were saying on Motors tv but I'm not up on that series. I tell you what I loved watching was the Dakar this year in Argentina, amazing and VW won!

I'm looking forward to ALMS (American Le man Series), Indycar (go Dario!) , Moto GP and Nascar.

I'm not interested in F1, can't bare the Hamilton brainwash it's nauseating.

DTM's good too mind.

its ashame that all the manufactures have pulled out , have to give rally drivers the upmost respect .

all the big competitions are getting boring as their is always one team or driver that takes all the win`s

i say get back to basic`s and go to watch some of the smaller series about , vw cup is well competative , as is tintop`s , my dad races in a couple , one that used to be called classic thunder , and another that was donlop motoring news . their are some verry exciting cars in both , from xr2`s with 2ltr`s to 650 bhp 3 door seirras and skylines , cossie powered mk1 escorts , 20vt mk2 golfs ,ex touring cars , and a nas car in a camaro z28 .

their are loads of things that are more exciting to watch , but you have to go see them , and it makes a great day out :-D

Bring back the MK1 and MK2 Escorts.

Wish the 2 British WRC Champs hadn't passed away (R.I.P Burnsy and McRae :()

Saw it on Dave, was shite compared to last year and even that was crap. Think I will be re-living my navigating times in Road Rallies this year to get me some good action :D
