hi there all i've got a mk2 polo coupe s

but as you know it was hurt and now i don't know if i would fill safe in it again

at the moment I'm driving a peugeot 405 diesel estate

so what should i get next

i need at least 3 seats

and i want a manual

so any suggestions are welcome

wall i dunno yet probably about £2000

I'm looking at getting a new car at the end of the year

Theres a lot of stuff that you could get in that price region, just stick a minimum of £1,500 and maximum of £2,500 in an autotraders search and I'm sure you would get alot of choice

You will not be let down by the 406 3L V6! My Grandad used to have one, and I had a blast in that...There pretty bloody quick! The noise aswell, its to die for!!

Although saying that, seat leon cupra R, or seat ibiza cupra R, they seem almost perfect for me, and one day I would LOVE to own one!!

seat leon cupra's are shit

they full of problems

and the one i had was no dog it had full seat service history and only 65k from now

don't get me wrong its fucking quick but thats all its got going for it

the rovers can have trouble with head gaskets , and setting wiring looms alight

if you dont feel safe in a polo 2 then rule out golf 1 and 309 as well

the rest of your list is fairly good , think 106 gti being one of the best

the reason why i don't fill safe in the mk2 now is because of whats happend to it

i did think about the GTTI but there getting expensive

i want a car i can cruise in now i'm not on about going down to a car park on a saturday night and and burning my tyres out etc but a nice car i can do mileage in countably and do some track day in as wall

just thought about the volvo 850 t5r , cheaper still look`s like a v70 (if you squint) and you`ll have enough cash left over for some goodies :-)

With 2 grand, and if i could get insured, it'd have to be a Mk2 GTi... you could possibly squeeze a Starlet GT Turbo for that budget but the Golf would be a safer bet..

Dunno matey, insuring 2 cars is a pipe-dream for me.. but if you can manage it then it'd be good to have a big comfy daily and something nippy for fun.

Mk2 GTi would be top of my list, obvious choice but in a 1 car scenario you cant really go wrong.

GTTI's are emmense, my mates had 3 blew the first 2 up and his current one made 167bhp on the rollers. Definately not a daily car IMO the things always on the Garage.

Probably suggest a Golf GTi.
