as a few of you already know my car got confiscated on saturday night, impounded, inspected & now iv been charged & it been deemed dangerous with my wheels

so iv been forced to get rid of them :(

i really dont want these to go, my car wont be the same but nothing else i can do

i would be after a straight sale,

or a swap for any 13, 14 or 15 x8 with an et of 25 or higher, such as rh cups, bbs's, monos or something along those lines

possilby 7s if there pimp like some bbs's or something but i want/need some decent stretch to keep them under the arches

but they cant be too pokey

these snaps are with the current tyres, 195/45 toyo proxes, brought a couple days after christmas so there almost brand new [liam r & sam dunce will back me up on this]

the stretch in my personal opinion on these tyres is the best on currently available 195/45s, as falken 512s [not 912s] are no longer available

there is scrubbing on the rear tyres but to me this was almost intentional to 'carve' myself some more clearance but its not major :p

the condition of the paint job is very good all round, there is slight marks from when the tyres were recently fitted but there not noticalbe too much unless you inspect closely

the white dishes are rubbed down every month with an extra fine wet & dry block [probly bout the same roughness as bog roll!] this has been done to keep them extra white & shiney

no centre caps I'm affraid tho

iv done a detailed description to hopefully answer anyones questions before there asked lol but please feel free to ask some more

these would be amazing on another fjord blue 6n, i would love to see them being used by another one but they would also look pretty ill on a white 6n aswel, or any other colour if your daring

aw mate cant belive it those wheels loook so good is well hope you can get hold of something elles and make it look even better :grin:....

if i get some more 8s with an et of 25 say, they will be 10mm more in the arches & so on

so 8s are not a problem, jsut these ones aparently are

& the refurb was done by one of my best mates who has a compressor, he sprays his own bonnet, bumpers, wings etc & gave my wheels ago which turned out amazing imo

i was quoted by a refurb place 40 quid a wheel for ONE colour, alot of places i would imagine wouldnt want to piss about with masking up etc, they would jsut want to shot blast, spray & lacre but i may be wrong

but the going rate for a standard wheel refurb is about 30-40 quid depending if any kurbing needs doing aswel

I'm sure the law says you are wheels cant protrude by more than 15mm so urs should be fine, try and find the paragraph on the subject and then show em it or even go to a m.o.t station and get them to give a statement saying they are fine

looking at bout 120-150 a corner cos it would require cutting, flaring, welding, filling & spraying

no way £600 justify that

i wouldnt sell the car for more than 2000, so a 3rd of the cost on the arches? no way

hi pal read about your car thats shit but i have a set of rh cups that are as we speak being powdercoated in bright white 7x15 et of 38 i think which i put 10mm spacers on the rear which i could be up for a swap are yours just painted though as not sure i am up for painting them every month ?

I'm after 8s mate, 7s jsut dont give enough stretch imo

i dont paint them every month, i jsut rub off the build up off them with an ultra fine block, it just tkaes off any inpurities such as road salt & common dirt which you dont normally see on silver or polished wheels

because the paint is gloss the lacre is in the paint itself

i do this every month or so or when its needed, depending on the season etc

but the block when wet is honeslty no rougher than bog roll! its jsut a little corser than a sponge and gives a more consistant smooth finish than a wheel brush & manages to take off shit gradualy which a wheel brush wouldnt normally

but right now, iv been offered the asking price I'm jsut waiting for a confirmation from the bill telling me if i deffinetly cant keep the wheels

so unless anyone wants to offer more than 400 quid collected or some other wheels, these have been dibbed I'm affraid
