yeah that one to there was a special edition one like 150 were made but cant remeber then name type it in on wikipedia they were the nuts. or an old skool mustang like richard hammond

I think I said Cuda at 1pm? Also the other Plymouth I was referring to was a Superbee, which was designed to compete against the Ford Torino (Starsky and Hutch mobile).

Superbee was Dodges performance spec if you like, it was above R/T. Plymouth is also part of the MOPAR group (chrysler, dodge, plymouth) but they never had a superbee.

The ford torino wasnt a muscle car lol just a big lazy sedan. Plus starskey and hutch torino was a '75 so there were no muscle cars by then, they were all dead and buried by '73 because of the oil crisis and rising fuel costs.

Soo much dodgey facts in this thread lol. I might go on a rampage.

IIRC there is no way the GT40 was built in britain??? I could be wrong but dont think I am.

Edit: Done a bit of research and I cant find awt that says it was made here. I cant see why it would be as it was commisioned by ford US to beat ferrari at le mans because ford wanted to buy them but ferrari pulled out of the deal. Also Caroll Shelby was the cheif dude IIRC so why would he have it made in britain? Sounds wrong to me.

The Shelby cobra was also made in the states I am pretty sure.

The 'hurst' edition cars were chryslers. I think they revived the special edition in the 80's some time with onther mopars but they looked gash.

IIRC they did a superbee charger wehn it turned shit.

The superbee was a Dodge coronet originally. usually came with a 440cid 6 pack (3x 2bbl carbs)

It cracks me up so much how everyone names the 'famous' cars.

What about the 70 Buick Skylark GSX? Surely this is the ultimate muscle car? Out of the show room it did the 1/4 mile in 13.1 seconds on cross ply tyres. Impressive or what??? That is very very fast even by todays standards!

Oldsmobile 442 is another favorite of mine.....

I love how people quote mustangs as being 'muscle cars' as well. The mustang was a small cheap car designed for young kids. Hell you couldnt even fit a big block in it until they made it bigger in 1970!!!

The first proper muscle car was the Pontiac GTO in 1965.

i'd only have a GTO if it was a soft top, they're so much cooler

Soft tops are for posers and they handle even worse than hard tops!
