....basickly long story short, bought cheep gt without mot but with tax and this is the diary hope you enjoy!

how it stood when had it

first mod i did was tint the rear lights red

after a few coats the finished product was this...

next was clear indies and bra

this was on my old 13x6.5 wellers

next a very happy me had a large parcel

13x8 ally cats FTW!...

after much stress we got them on!

next up was the clear side indies

after realising that the car had a bit too much poke with the cats having et5 i believe...?!? i went down my local scrappy and got myself golf mk2 arches and splitter to try and cure the problem! .....only managed to get the splitter on atm so here it is(bit bodge for now)

o ye forgot to mention de-badged grill but u can se in photos

next to do

- fit my 4-2-1 manifold

- fit my exhaust

-fit my 7k chip (think its 7)

-and pipercross filter kit

- and most importantly iv got 60mm all round springs and socks comming shorty!!

atm it needs a good tcut and polish thats what id do,will look loads better once lowered how much did you pay for her ?

you prob wont believe it bt £200 all it needed was discs, pads and ball joint and thats it and it passed its mot with no minors! so all in all arond £300 for car and to get on road... Bargin!

really? thats cheap.. looking good, all it really needs is a lil clean up and lowering. I'm sure when the sun cums out it will be looking sweet :)

Lowering is a must and on the top of your list should be sorting the arches out before your bum raped by the police as those stick out way to much.

yes thats y i have decided to chuck some steels on for now until the arches are sorted! (and because of the salt on roads) any suggestions on sorting the arches i could

-putmk2 golf arches on it as iv got some here

- iv thought of rolling the arches bt some people are saying tat wont do f*ck all

One question, there are 2/3 nuts holding the back lights in why didn you take the lights outa dndo the tinting properly??

one answer bodge lol nar just didnt think but everything came out fine with no spills so its all good!

You dont have a chance in making the 8" AllyCats fit on the front mate .

Struggled to get my 7" AllyCats on with some majour arch rolling and flaring (To be finnished tommorow)

Looks like a right litte find though !

As others have said get it clean!

I would personally clay the car polish it then wax it .. Spend a day doing it .. Takes at least 6 Hours to do that propperly .

that isnt good news lol do you have 7s all round cos if you would be up for it fancy swap your rear 7 for my 8s

it certainly has potential but the wheels do stick out a little too much, when its lowered it will look much better

Serious sticking out. Really good find. now i know what your trying to do with the exhaust i understand how the fuel line incident occurred.

Give your headlamps a bit of a wash out too and they look as clear as the indies.

need a better pic but you get the idea. lol Just need some chrome bulbs to get rid of the orange effect.

ye the headlamps are on the list too but first of all get this dam fuel line sorted! and in desperate need for lowering!

Lovely car especially as its one of the last ones, where was it registered at hh is way up north i had a yhh. Lower it on some nice 14" golf steelies in silver and it will look much better than the wide wheels.

what do mean 1 of the last?

i jst spent £££ on these wheels so i really want them on otherwise iv jst wasted money so can anyone advise me on what to do with my arches?!?!

a small update...

managed to get my hands on a 4-2-1 and perfomance exhaust heres some snaps

taking the old mani off was a bitch! near enough all the old nuts had rounded probably because they havnt even been looked at for 30,0000 years but managed it in the end,... theres is definatly a difference in performance since iv chucked the chip, air filter, mani and performance exhaust on, an hope to have it rolling roaded some time in march with a bit of luck

next to come is 60mm front and 70mm on back this week and rolled arches soon!

anyway this is how it stands now i think most of you would agree with a tuch of lowering and some nice wheels..... BIG improvment

8s on the front of a mk3 with that offset = wrong.

i'd advise that you get your tracking looked at too, as your wheels appear to be pointing in opposite directions

ye I'm in the proccess of getting the tracking done but first i need a new bearing so until i get that done the tracking cant be done, and i no 8s are bit too wide... my mates posted on the mini forum asking does anyone want to swap 2 of there 7s for 2 of my 8s
