I don't normally like it when people spray interior stuff, but that has come out quite nicely :-)

I've got a few of mine sprayed up in dragon green goes really well not tacky at all

Yeah I'm going to do some parts of the interia, but I don't want to go too over the top or it will look cheep and too "boy racer" look, just want it to look tidy/modern

I have just done my side air vents, here some pics.

I bought a cheap set of Volkswagen Teardrops to use whilst my wheels were being professionally refurbed. Anyway i got my wheels back, took the Teardrops off and decided to have a go at refurbing them myself with some Wet & Dry 1200 down to 400 then use some Halfrauds grey primer + gloss black spray paint and i think i did a pretty good job of them. Will get pics up soon

I was thinking about doing my steels, matt black or gloss with a silver lip round the edge.....not sure yet.

So here is some shots of the inside.

I also started doing the centre console.

Had some problems, fixed the problems. and all is now well....for now...

I haven't sprayed the silver yet, will do it tomorrow.

So I started on the centre console

Filled in all the scratches and the belt plastic where i prized the old cd player out lol

So I done it all again

But it payed off. :-)

Ok so for a min I thought I fucked it, why did it bubble like that, is that what people call 'orange peel'

How can I prevent it, all i know is that it has been sprayed b4, would this of reacted with it?

did you wet and dry it down before priming?

I need to re-do my centre console for that exact same reason, its like chalk when you introduce it to a screwdriver

is it acrylic primer your using specific for plastic? because some plastics don't like standard car primer or if there's some sort of contamination there. Infact some primers can react with each other too like etch primer with high build primer.

I've had that problem before when spraying plastics, I've even used the halfords paint prep wipes, i cant say they work to well. i always use a solvent based spray degreaser now and havnt had that happen since.

So what else can i use instead of these wipes?

I have solven the problem for now, just dont want it happening again.

I have sprayed the contre consol now, but need I need more spray.

the paints clearly reacted to cause the lifitng but you have done a great job!

Thx, how can I prevent this, i sanded it for ages and used preped wipes. Why! Why me!!

prep wipes have moisture in them which can be trapped under the paint. Make sure its dry as sand before you prime it.

ok so as you saw I sprayed colour last. then i sanded it again to get rid of them crators the lifting had created.

I then respryed it with colour...which came out really good - Until the lacquer was put on.

It then started to do the same foofing thing. The paint lifted again.

Waited untill was dry/hard, sanded it down again.....and again......and again.

got it down so you can see all the layers.

now I can see whats reacting with the paint.

ok so in the picture from left to right it goes.....

Colour(satin silver)- Primer - black paint- plastic

I tryed the colour with out priming it, and the paint went mad! it went dark and all uneven.

Could i be right in saying the darkest black paint in the picture is making the paint lift and curl?

If it is, is there a way to stop it from doing this, WITHOUT SANDING DOWN THE WHOLE THING?

Finally I finished it, and fitted it.
