bump :-D

Not in a OEM alarm but on my after market the siren is separate from the horn, so you could check to see whether it is actually wired up? Mine was fitted under the bonnet.

Thanks for the reply, the alarm that is fitted is oem, so should be connected to the horn ????

the alarm siren is seperate from the horn and may be under the scuttle panel trim

thanks mate is that solid info, because i cant find anything about alarms in the haynes for the polo.

Nice one if thats the case then is could be just a loose wire, worst case new siren i recon.

6n's didn't come with alarms. They are a dealer fit option.

If your lights flash you could just have a remote central locking kit that someone fitted on the cheap. Do you have any other clues that you have an alarm fitted eg. ultrasonic sensors and the like?

Hi mate this is as dealer fit alarm/ remote central locking , so they did come with factory alarms, lol,

I would recognise a pony cheapo alarm lol

OK i found out which alarm it is, and it is a VW approved scorpion alarm, and its the 918 Advanced remote control Alarm/immobiliser.

I found the siren and its to the left of the battery, on a bracket along with the relays ect.. for the central locking i recon.

There is a oem socket in the glove box that you can plug the key fob into for a reasons i dont know , maybe an overide of some sort or valet.

I have no other instructions for this alarm . There is also a round key hole on the siren that i dont have a key for, maybe this is the siren operation on or off ???

Any ideas peeps.

Cheers

Bill

Here are the pics of what i can see , the leaflet may be a red herring, it was in the vehicle docs.

Has anyone else got this alarm.

New info from Scorpion

"Unfortunately this is not one of our alarms it's made by a company

called Conlog they don't exist over here anymore as far as iam aware

anyway

Sorry but least you know who made it now they only supplied VW for a

short time"

So CONLOG is the make, MMM off to ponder.......
