When I bought it -

Then the charger blew, had it rebuilt, and it blew again

So I bought this

and this

Got hold of these (g60 injectors)

Was gonna get my own kit made but instead it'll go down to AWT to get fitted and mapped

Had some money and relationship issues which has lead to it being left over the winter, but after ditching the girlfriend and help from my dad it's starting to get back on the right track.

Once it's back we'll give the kit the once over and modify anything that doesn't work spot on, or anything we think we can improve on, but who knows it might be spot on!

I just want big power. Well over 200bhp/tonne.

That's pretty much every pic I have of it.

I know it looks tatty at the mo but once the engine is finished I will crack on with the bodywork. There's only so much you can do when you aren't rich, and the engine is the most important part.

Ideally I need a new bonnet (wrong colour when previous owner fixed it), new wings (same as last) and a new slam panel. That should really freshen it up to a decent standard... then sort the rust on the doors.

BUT... when it looks that tatty, no one expects it to go that fast

I thought Jabba was just down the road from you? They will be able to do a custom map for your car, but depends on how much you want to spend!

I think AWT will use their own chip on the car (that's what I gathered on the phone) but if not I may drop you a message about that.

I was trying to build the car to a set budget. Don't really want to be spending hundreds on a chip as I'm still in budget at this moment in time. Andys having a look at modifying the chip I have. Hope he can do something with it.

If it's ready for springfest, I won't be on the strip. Don't wanna risk damaging anything as I'll need to get home again!!!

Mine is getting built to a strict budget, it won't have cost me much more than a grand when it's finished.

i've currently spent £2800 and i'm not done yet! If i can get the chip for cheap, i'll be successful in keeping it to budget.

I'll be living on bread and cheese for a while but it'll be worth it.

I could've spent a lot more, but I've spent months researching things, and the car has a decent specced engine to start off with.

I'm budgeting 800 for AWT's work.

I spent 100 on the charger

60 on the intercooler

The G60 injectors, fuel rail and regulator was free

I'm also replacing the head gasket, new blue temp switch (or whatever it is), lambda probe, throttle body potentiometer, and a good service. That'll be another 3/400. This is starting next week, so I have all of March to get it to AWT and let them do their stuff.

Oh, and when it comes back from AW Tracksport, we are going to look at the kit and try and improve it, new tensioners in places and tougher brackets. These seem to be the weak points from what I've gathered.

That's my attitude with cars though, I buy fast cars to drive fast, not to Molly Coddle, if it breaks, I build it bigger and faster.

It will be my daily when it's done though :)
