hi guys n gals, got a 1.6 8v polo mk4, the engine starts then immediately cuts off, have tried different key immobilisers, gone through things that make sense, now I'm left thinking a. knock sensor b.timing way out(no way of checking) any one please the car is booked in for mot on monday i need it running .... help a fellow polo owner please!!!!!!!

try cleaning the throttle body out

run some injector cleaner through it aswell

coolent temp sesnor might be faulty - try and clean it 1st

i dun think it will be the knock sensor tbh
