Got chance to give polo a wash today, much needed!

Next up will be poly bushes for the front end as the old ones are looking a bit tired and i'd like to stiffen up the front a bit more. Would love a stage 3 subframe but ££££££ :(

No doubt will update again soon!

Thanks, Ian.

Cool man, glad to hear it. Think there are a few GT cams knocking about in the for sale section at the moment, would go great to get a bit more from that head

Ian.

i bloody sold one before i got the cylinder head off you lol. So yeh i need to get another one. As for the head porting has started. Not heavy though , just really a clean to be honest.

How much BHP you running now then?

Max

i want your wheels badly who makes them ?

wow, i actually like that!

this car is sweet, very clean.

salooooooooooooon!

really like what you've done with this mate, the colour is perfect, the wheels suit it so well, the engine looks spot on in the bay (better than a mk4 bay?)

all it needs now is dropping slightly lower and your laughing!!!

quick question though dude, what made you go with a mk4 engine and not a GT lump or something?

The stock engine is 75hp and 100lb/ft torque. I have used the mk3 flywheel which is far lighter than the mk4 so it may free up a little more at higher rpm. Its quick enough to have a play in anyway. Look forward to seeing some of your progress pics with the head and what not!

They are alley cat style wheels made by a company called 'performance.' Can't really say much more about them as thats all i know. I got then from a friend and by pure chance the backing colour is the same grey as my polo's paint! I may be looking to upgrade to some 14's at some point as first and second gear are a bit spinny with these small wheels.

I wanted something a bit different, but mostly this engine was a good compromise between power and economy. I don't need to rev it hard to get it going and when I'm really gentle still see 55+ mpg. Torque is fun! Did a little run from the lights with my mate in the car the other day just to see what the 0-60 time was compared to stock and managed to get an 8.4 in the wet which i was quite suprised at! Not usually too bothered about that stuff, was just interesting to find out. (I'm not a boy racer just to clarify that :p)

Ian.

Good work. I couldn't bare to sort out all that wiring. I throw a strop if a headunit won't go in plug and play

Mate this is so sick! Love it. How'd you manage to wire the AEE in on it's standard injection? Just re-wire the whole car?

Had a nice little drive tonight until i heard an odd clicking noise from the front. Pulled over to find this very good condition 10mm bolt in my tyre. 30mph all the way home was less than fun.

MOT is booked for tomorrow and a fresh 6 months tax. Then it will be for sale as i've had my fun with it and will be moving onto to bigger (not necessarily better) things in the form of jap crap. Had 2 tyres fitted today and fingers crossed it will fly MOT tomorrow

If all goes to plan expect a sale thread up over the weekend. Any enquiries prior to that feel free to PM me :)
