Air Freshener

Featured Replies

Bit of a random one, but I was wondering. My car smells bad, very bad. Any Air Freshener I've had has stopped smelling after a week or so. With frequent trips to the gym, the occasional sleep before or during college, and the odd smoke, my car is imbued with a lingering, undesirable fragrance!

What is your personal choice of air freshener and why?!

I've got blue smelly foot :D nice smell oh and some car plan strawberry odour remover if i ever have a cheeky smoke :ninja::lol:

purple smelly foot is the nicest. they stay smelly for about a month.

Magic Tree - New Car Smell = THE ONE.

Go to Lidls and get the household block one (plastic thing with like a jelly inside), the lemon one kills anything.

Also febreze your seats and carpets, and take a shower now and then :p

give all the hard plastics /dash ect a good wipe down with warm water and some all purpose cleaner

vax what carpets /seats you can

then mist all the cloth /carpet with fabreeze , that should get rid of alot of the stink

try upholstery cleaner mmmm lemony

And no humpty bumpty in the back either lol....

if the smell is really that back take the seats and carpets out and give them a good wash down and fabreeze the seats!

think I'll go with the magic tree- new car smell

give it a good hoover, then a vax a couple of times, then leave with doors/windows open for a couple of days.

I got a car of my sister with seat covers on and it stunk. Done that and it was fine.

Bought a mk4 which must of had a dog living in the boot. Did the same and it was spot on.

magic foot the purple one :-) anyone tries smoking in my car they get kicked out and can walk

I had a leak into the inside of my car which left a damp smell and one of the sale reps at

work recommended that i try ODOR X from Turtle Wax.They do it in various "flavours" and

i used the New Car scent and what a difference it has made. You spray it directly onto the

carpets and let it soak in....job done.It is a trade item though and i'm not sure if you could

by it from Halfrauds or your local car accessory shop.

This is the link to it...it's about 3/4 of the way down the page. ODOR X

That Turtle Wax Item looks good, Ill have a look online! Tried Fabreeze today covered up a lot of the smell. Think the problem was the mats!
