This is the most retarded thing since the whole number plate debate.

Are you stupid? Do you think insurance companies are stupid?

If you lower your car 40mm you tell the insurance its 40mm.

If you lower 100mm you tell them 100mm.

If you fitted a 2.0 20v engine, you wouldnt tell them it was a 1.8, cos thats kinda half way, would you??????

Its makes me mad that people are so keen to admit they rip of their insurance. ooooh so clever. you saved like £25... you have a crash, what about the poor bugger who cant get his car repaired cos you aint got any valid insurance? You would be on here crying your eyes out if it happened to you.

I would like a 16v polo. I checked out the insurance before looking at them (cos it seems sensible to check insurance implications BEFORE buying something......) and i decided it was more than i wanted to pay and maybe more than i could afford.

So guess what? I didnt buy a 16v. I'm happy in my 8v.

Would you suggest i buy a 16v and just insure it as an 8v?

Anyone in this thread who has said to "let them know..." what do you want to know? ring your insurance and ask them... its like a five minute job.

And last rant- Johnyady_sv..... "I'm with endsleigh mate, and 18 year old and mods undeclared at the moment could you let us know how you get on if you declare? as I wanna declare them asap"

Congratulations on making the most retarded post i have ever read on this forum.

You want to insure your mods as soon as possible? you REALLY want to insure them ASAP do you?

Endsleigh Insurance: 0800 028 3571

Call them. Tell them what your mods are. Thats the easiest and quickest way to be covered. It will take you only a few minutes of your precious time.

My piss is officially boiled.

Most of them get away with it though and don't crash, thats the whole point.

My friend didn't declare for 3 years, now he declares. I don't agree with what he did but he saved a fuck loads more than £25 and it was a risk he was willing to take.

So if somebody dosen't want to declare, its their problem, worry about your own life.

^^ if your in a fit state, you kick 7 types of shit out of them and shoot their dog.

Every time you dont declare a mod, god makes your dick an inch smaller!!!

with BMW drivers they get away with it as not even god can work with something that small.

i dont have any mods on my car yet so i dont have anything to declare... buttt

what would happen if your a named driver on say your dads insuance, wack some coilies on and crash. will your dad get done as well as you?

If its your Dads policy, then yes I would imagine so!

edit: Also the extent of getting "done" is up to you really, if you declare them, his policy would be affected if it was his/your fault, loose his NCB in most cases, but if mods wasnt declared, and then crashed, then his insurance would be invalid...

Costing him a days pay

he rang up and they said itd be less than what he lost at work

Just declare them so you dont have to worry

it shouldnt be much

just THINK

Thats fraud too, woohoo, double whammy. Your sister's boyfriend sounds like a tool?

Is she fit?

Quinn charged me like £20 extra for coilies, I'm 18 on my second year of insurance.

Quinn Direct insurance are one of the best imo

i put some alloy on on of my cars and it cost me fuck all extra to have them so it was happy days

Kwikfit insurance are shit i insured my leon cupra with them because they where the cheapest but when i got my police throw the post all the detail where wong and i get the insurance throw confused.com so i know all the detail's where right but Kwikfit go it all Wong

ended up with Kwikfit wanting me to pay over £1000 more for my insurance so i canceled it

and had to get new insurance with the AA

i'm now back with Quinn Direct because there are the cheapest and the best

and i got a quote with the mods i wanted to do to the polo and it was only going to cost me and £100 more

that was including the 80/60mm drop and all the over upgrade suspension parts i've got plus a new set of alloys and a momo staring wheel

HIC never really askedme how much my car was lowered by, its definitely worth decalring mods even if only for piece of mind!

I'm 18 need my 6n is dropped 50mm on collies and i didnt declare them need sum1 rearended me the other week, I'm shittin as my insurance is sky high to start wif.

also, I'm wif quinn so any ideas on how much it would cost to declare?

How much will it cost to declare?

Quinn Direct 0845 850 0845

FFS, is that rocket science?

You didnt declare and you were in a bump? oh man, thats bad. and very very funny.

If you are lucky you will get 6 points and £200 fine. You might not even have to go to court.

Or you might get a ban... but hey look at the bright side, you wont be paying a penny for insurance when your not allowed to drive.

But, your not totally screwed just yet. There is a solution.....

You need one of these:

yer where driving with out insurance and you got rear ended your fucked your proper fuck

if you declare it to Quinn it would of cost your less than £50

Just checked with my policy note and it sums up to: that any undeclared modifications will be replaced with stock items at owners expense.

This is Zurich with declared mods.

I want one!!!!

Pretty much backs up what I said earlier in this thread then... If you don't declare your mods, it is only yourself you are cheating, the other person will still get paid out! And if you get rear-ended, and it's not your fault, then milk it like fuck to the other insurer and you'll probably still get your mods replaced if your car isn't written off!

I completely agree with declaring everything, and i always have... but its because i dnt wanan get fucked in the even tof an accident AND no other reason... I have no moral quarms about diddling insurance cos there complete assholes in the majority of cases... Like churchill for example who told me "yeah wheels will be fine" only for me to buy them and then them say "we wont cover you mate... put them on and your insurance is void"

Also the fact i was born without tits meant that when i was 19 years old with no crashes / claims / Convictions on 2 cars and a motorbike... my mates sister who was 17 paid less than me.....THAT is a piss take.

There would be uproar if they started charging people more insurance based on their race or GCSE results why the hell is it acceptable to do it on there gender purely cos of some twats, who should get the fuck away from the gene pool anyway...

It gets better as you go beyond 21... but not much.

you have to pay a lot of money to the insurance company just for a bit of paper

I rang up to declare my coilies the other day, they wonted a extra £3489 for the remaining 5 months of my insurance! and thats with a 30mm drop! takes the fukin piss!!!!

they probably used the spelling detector on you and it came up pikey. . . . .
