Sorry matee,

Holy fuck!

Looks so painful :tear:

Hope your okay dude!

whoops hope you are ok.

thats going to the scrappy me thinks

fucck that get the engine out

Heck thats a bit of a nasty one, the VX doesn't look too bad but yours is pretty much a write off :(

Fogs with loom and switch i'll take them! lol

oh dear, thought we'd had the last of the killed my car threads!

Hope your ok and if thecar is written off, keep as much as you can as they'll fob you off with a low payout anyway.

I'm fine thanks was abit shaken 1st crash lol.

I'm gonna take the front end off tomorrow and have a look if i can go to the scrappy and get a new bonnet bumper headlights and grill. I also need a new rad but everything else looks ok.

The insurance are blaming it on me as they say i was going too fast on an icey road even tho i wasnt and that was the only part of the road that had ice on it. So iv gotta pay out £500 exess aswell as fixing my own car.

I was thinking about putting a mk5 front end on but i jus want to get my car back on the road asap without messing about.

Iv taken the day off tomorrow to do just that lol

I hope i can get a genuine 16v bumper from scrappy if not a trip to euro carparts

Probably your insurance is right to blame you, the way the cars are damaged shows you going head on into the corner of the other car. Judging by the damage you were traveling faster then them as the car with more energy usually shows more damage.

Is it worth buying any parts for it? Can it really be fixed for a reasonable price?

No being funny but it looks standard except suspension, i would say break the car and buy a new one.

ohhhh that must suck real bad i would be so pissed off if that was me but good to hear that u r ok.

good vw polo 6n r little strong things if that was a clio it would be mesed right up.

shouldent be 2 hard to fix.

:(

Ah mate bad luck dude

round my area today i saw 3 crashes cos of the ice and had a little slide towards a huuuuge flood! panic

happens to the best mate hope u can get it sorted

bad times man :(

seen a fair few crashes due to the ice.

Bring on the summer!

I say get your spanners out, Weigh up the cost of parts + excess payout against buying a new car, which would be a shame...

I vote repair it all the way  Won't look half as bad once the front end is stripped

get it fixed it probly looks worse than it is, just pray you are chassis legs aint bent or else ull be lookin for a strong lookin lampost to pull it out on!! lol :ninja:

glad no one was injured tho!

bad luck mate, I'm sure you will have it back on the road in no time,

lets just hope your chassis legs aren't bent

Bit of an update. I went down the scrappy and spent £95 to try and fix it.

1st i took of the headlights and bumper to see how bad things were...

Then i took off the cross beam to see if the chassis legs were bent...

After buying a new radiator, rad housing, headlights, grill & surround and bonnet i started to reassemble it.

I also had to borrow a hydraulic ram from a body repairers next door to my workplace as the chassis legs needed pushing outwards by about 10mm each side...

As it looks now... :-D

Why is it that scra yards only have red bonnets that haven't been smashed about lol
