right as most of you know we will be having a marquee, which is brilliant if its raining and in the evening if we can get someone to DJ but we find its pretty much redundant in the day if the weather is nice.

So what i want to ask is does anyone have any ideas as to what we can use it for? any kind of activities or club games or something we could do?

maybe the person with the best idea will get a prize

open the side on sunday and have it as a drive through stage for the concours prize winners so everyone knows what and who won what

or you could do an art attack and get everyone to bring a polo picture/painting/sculpture and display them in the marquee

Just had a thought, how big is the marquee? But beer + twister = fun :)

Use a section of it for an area for people to sign up to the club & have a small display so people can actually buy stickers & stuff there. Obviously this would need to have someone on it all day....but would give some people a focal point, especially if they want to say something about the club.

Get a table with the banner hanging from the bottom of it and someone taking memberships and selling stickers ect .

there will be a membership stand, and place selling stickers. guess it all depends on the weather if its put inside the marquee or not.

and yes it is a big marquee, same size as we had in '07 hopefully.

funnily enough twister was mentioned by one of the mods, sounds like a good idea to me!

at Vanfest they do a sculpture competition where you have to make something out of a pile of old beetle parts, we could do something similar if everyone brought an old polo part, just as long as we remembered to take it away again!

At BVF one year i made the word POLO out of beer cans, that was quite cool, wanted to make CLUB POLO but needed a lot more beer cans

you can hire giant versions of loads of games, so giant jenga would be quite possible.

Could do polo push, same as they do at santa pod with beetles, just polos!

i watched that once and one of the cars steering locks came on and it crashed into the other one so as long as that didn't happen would be ok, although space is a bit of an issue and we don't want any cars being pushed into the canal lol.

i recon a big table with a scalextric . they had one at a porsche show i went to once and they had a big tournement, and the winner got a big scalextric track as a prize... i came 2nd :( bastard!! lol

Hoppy has got the right idea anyway and with our summers, no doubt it will be raining so somewhere dry to pop into every now and again would be sweet
