14s Or 16s

Featured Replies

just a quick question, on behalf of a friend...

14 or 16 inch rims? hes wanting to lower his 6n around 100mm, i suggested 15inch but, he doesnt want 15s because of the lack of choice in the wider wheels, and iv only ever had 15s so I'm a bit unsure of what to tell him, he also mentioned that he doesn't want to strech his rubber.

thanks for you views in advance also any pics would be appreciated.

ant... an my mate dave

ps this is my mates 1st dub as he's been converted from the jap-side lol :-)

good point, should of probably pointed that out to him my self lol

are they the 16x7s on you mates?

If it was me i would go for the 14s as you can get very low with them. :-D

is your mate on crack? theres more than a plentiful supply of wide 15 inch wheels, dare i suggest theres probably a wider selection of wide 15 inch wheels than 14s...

with 194/45/xx tyres over a max of an 8 inch rim, you wont have alot of stretch but sufficient amounts to lower your car a decent amount and still have a good amount of tread actually in contact with the tarmac.

What Saf said

RM's and RS's come in 15", so thats like an infinite choice of widths and offsets

I'd choose 14's over 16's but the logical thing would be to meet halfway at 15".

Oh and you wont get 100mm down om 16's :|

slap on some 13's. if not, go 14's

and as for more choice on 14's than 15's? hmmm.. duno about that one...

Theres looooooooooooads of 15s about.

Defo more 15's than 14's, unless you include standard 14" steels.
