i got given a smoothed bootlid (6n) with a small numberplate recess but I'm not sure how i go about getting the numberplate for it and is it legal?

I'm guessing not. but help would be appreciated.

as far as I'm aware it isnt legal, I've got some small ones on mine atm & I'm geting the recess done to size.

just have to face the risk of geting pulled, butt its up to you if u want to risk it or not :)

long as its correct font and letters are spaced n sized correctly i cant see a problem.

so they must be illegal then, unless i get a personal plate (like mikes) with about 4or 5 letters/numbers.

it says there that you have to have a space of 11mm between letters so it wouldnt all fit onto a smaller than standard size plate.

11mm between letters yes, so you can legally cut down 5 digit plates for example, but not really 7 digit plates as you'll be squeezing the letters together and reducing the 11mm..

Just go on www.platemyride.com and have a play with the different sizes and see what fits.
