Skydive For Charity!

Featured Replies

Sorry mods.. hope this is ok here..

It's just been confirmed that on April 18th I will be doing a tandem skydive for the charity 'BLISS' who are an organisation who provide care and support for premature babies.

I chose BLISS as I was 8 weeks premature myself and needed a huge amount of care in my first few weeks of life. The first 24hours of me being born were critical and were hit or miss whether I would live or not. Well here I am 21 years on, fit and healthy, and I want to give something back and help other babies like myself get the care they need and deserve!

I need to raise at least £125 online and £200 offline to cover the jump and the sponsorship - please donate if you can!

either on my just giving page: http://www.justgiving.com/chrisjfox

or my paypal: HERE (counts as an offline donation)

Thanks in advance :)

Such a lovely thing your doing foxie but fuck a sky dive id be shitting my self like nothing

BEST OF LUCK !

Skydiving is awesome 8-) youll love it, cant wait to get back to it, first thing I'm gonna do when this frame comes off my leg :doubt:

you'll shit yourself hard core on the way up but love it large on the way down! Both me and the other half have done one (langar airfield, nottingham) and i'd go again for sure.

You getting the video and still photos too? Well worth the money imo.

Arghhh, never done it before, always wanted too  I'm not even a fan off heights but I'd deffo do it :smirk:

Good luck with it all mate, try and get us some videos and pics

Donation made via paypal for you :smirk:

Are you using sponsorship money to fund the jump? If so i think that's horrendous and you should cover the cost yourself.

if not then fair play to you and good luck.

I am currently funding a 10,000 mile charity drive so not in a position to donate

The charity and the skydive agency have joined forces and have setup the scheme where if i can raise atleast £395 I jump for free (so its heavily subsidised) obviously that makes it sound like some donations will be going towards it which i feel is wrong (as do you) so yeah, i will be fronting the majority of the cost of the jump myself (aka offline donations)

I really hope I can get pics and a video! wonder if i can sneak a camera on board with me ? LOL

good luck with your drive and thanks for the donation D16RRT :)

cameras will work in the plane but not on the way down! I got told this when i did mine! I did mine for charity too and it also seemed that some of the sponsor money went towards paying for the jump! Not right by a long way.

I got a video from when i did my first jump :? a tandem

Where i go (black nights - cockerham http://www.bkpc.co.uk/) they offer a service where a cameraman also jumps with a camera attached to his head  might do the same where youre doing it, ring them and ask :-)

Think its about 70squid

They do that @ langar. Same guy takes still photos too.

Who said men can't multi task ?!!!

Best of look matey!

Get a vid and then post it up :-D

you'll fecking love it. Theres no feeling like it falling at 125mph. I've been on afew stupid rollercoasters and they dont even come close.

I'll scan some of my pics into the computer so i can post them up.

I had to laugh when my other half did hers as there was a bloke there who was getting married the next day and as part of his stag do, they blindfolded him, drove him to the airfield and paid for him to do a jump. He went fooking white when they said 'you're jumping out a plane today!@

Best of luck.

(if the main chute fails, the cyprus (sp) will save you!)

My sister done this, its crazy.

It's admirable that you're doing this mate.

i recommend everyone trys a skydive at least once.

Good way to see the countryside too

Good luck Foxie :)

How'd it go? You still with us?
