Need a new drivers side wing mirror for a 2001 6N2 Polo (electric and painted black).

I think its stubby (its small)...I have seen this on ebay : Stubby or not??

Would that fit - issues with glass???

Can't find one in a scrap yard.

Will a mirror from a Lupo fit??? that would be another option to search..

you can get stubby mirrors for drivers side, but originally they came with a normal sized one on the drivers side and a stubby on the passenger side

the ebay one looks like an original normal sized one to me

I doubt you will find a stubby drivers mirror in a UK scrap yard as the UK models have the larger drivers side mirror, unless the owner changed it to a LHD passenger mirror.

The lupo mirrors as far as i know are the same until you reach the base plate which is different, so they won't fit.

The one you have linked to looks like a stubby LHD drivers mirror so it will be the same as your current passenger side mirror, you should be able get stubby mirror to fit replace your drivers mirror from german ebay though.

The mirror has ben smashed so I don't know what was fitted.....All I know is the it has the same look and appearance as the one from the ebay link I posted. (I got one from a scrap yard which was supposedly from a 6N2, but it looked totally different! - the painted cover part was a different part/shape)....

Maybe I'm just confused but are the stubby(130mm) and normal(150mm) the saem in appearance(look) but just differ slightly in size.

If some has a pic of their stubby and a "normal" mirror it would be great.....

ill get a pic up for you when i get home, I'm currently at uni, but ill put a couple of pictures up of the stubby and the normal mirror on the car, hopefully my pictures should help you loll
