I dont like hitting kamikaze wildlife, so id prefer to see them a little up the road so i can try and break/avoid

I've got 6 headlights so I'm cushty on unlit anything!

Like the isolation on unlit roads, much better :) not great for motorway cruising tho, lit keeps you awake more i guess!

Afraid to say this......Belgium ftw!

(only fully lit motorway network in the world)

Unlit for me, but same as matt, lots of lights so not an issue. I'm used to driving dark country roads.

Don't get me started on this subject i'm always ranting on about this. Yes my lights are old and not as good as modern cars but i can't stand the way they put hundreds of lights in one area and dazzle you and then you get plunged into complete darkness! if they spaced them out slightly more think of how much more motorway could be lit! there is no need to have them all collected together.

And cats eyes are another subject, they are mostly utterly shite and useless, there is a nice bit of motorway thats just been finished on the M27 and the new cats eyes are so much better, I hate being dazzled by other road users and if all the cats eyes were like that it would make everything so much safer.

Seems to me they make car headlights brighter and brighter, but if they lit more roads or had better cats eyes that would be much better and make the roads safer, driving on single carrageways at dusk is my least favourite time.

Liz: you should try the M4 at port talbot then, you can drive that at night without your lights on as the cats eyes light up, think they turn blue in cold and flash in fog.

i ride back from london to reading on the m4 at night a lot and where its lit its soo much nicer to ride along

the mane reason is that your go from almost daylight to pitch black in a mater of seconds its horrible

and the over road users keep driving the over way with the lights on full beam

Lit as its so much better and u can see everything. But Unlit aswell becuase the hid's look sweet on it, but can still see things. Just not as better as lit! lol.

the m1 near me is lit southbound but not the further north you go, a small section of m25 wasnt lit last no-rice either...

UNLIT i dont see the point , they dont light up cuntry lanes , and if you need lights on a wide flat non bendy road , lights on a road is only for pedestrians to see the dog sh*t their trying to miss . and cars have lights attached to them so you can see where your going , i have to agree that the lights on mk2`s are rubbish but still quite fine for ripping down a back lane .

ah also i hate hids their to bright to see if anythings coming the other way when back lane thrashing

OH so its you is it? Blinding me all the time. I just dont get why the hell headlights have to be so bright. Modern cars should have an intermidiate light setting for lit town driving at night because the headlights are just too powerful now.

I never have a problem seeing on old headlamps. If you need fancey lights then try the opticians first.
