You'll love it even more once your in your valver as its always on cam at motorway speeds and not many small cars go from 60-100 like a valver does.

I've got no problem with someone tailgating me. I realise its an addiction as it releases adrenaline and keeps them on their toes. Its not my problem,I'm only concerned about what's going on in front.

I'm not gonna brake, and cause them to swerve into a car containing a young mother and her baby..

But if they hit me,i'll take them to the cleaners.

I'm generally the same with other traffic in all respects - i dont play with other motorists,I'm too busy enjoying the drive.

However,i can think of an exception..

He seemed to have no reason to sit in the right hand lane, though there was plenty of traffic to cut through. I sat behind him in both lanes, but he wouldn't pull over and let me past.

The general speed was circa 30-40mph on a busy 70mph city centre dual carriageway.

So i undertook. Wrong, but, meh. His female passenger shouted 'idiot' and they then got past me at the roundabout anyway.

Now fair play for getting past, which was due to the traffic,he had the better lane after all,so i was back behind him.

Next straight and its now clear,he sits in the right hand lane. I go to undertake him because he's being a prat again.

He floors it in his white TT but didnt bet on the 80's shopping trolley still managing to undertake him.

Next roundabout, where I'm turning left, and whilst i had nothing left to prove,i did have a score to settle with his female passenger - who, fair play, still had her window open despite being deafened by the bike carbs.. I looked at the 30-something and shouted 'wrinkly old hag!'

bloke pulls out in front of me in my old mk3 golf (which had scooby seats so i sat really low in the car) anyway i gave him the flash and he jams on the brakes and points to the side of the road so i pulled over behind him.

i let him get out and approach my door, all 5 foot of raging man. i then got out of my car and stood over him (6'3") and without me saying a word he said 'oh sorry' got back in his car and drove off! what a nob end!

i have to control myself from not getting out the car to some people and showing them my extendable wheel brace!

Is it just me that finds this amusing

And my cars too slow to try and annoy people

haha i do that every now and then mainly to lorries lol, they get well pissed off lol

it depends how you find it amusing?

I'm not a tall person and dont look butch in any respect so carry it next to me just incase!

Yer i couldnt think of anything funny to put there at the time  Still cant...if anyone can then feel free  Something to do with a sexual reference john, nothing to do with the fact you carry a wheelbrace by you...i sometimes do aswell :)

 Brilliant. Can picture it now!

One I can think of recently, went for a (long) drive after work between 10 and 10.30pm, come up behind a 58 reg fiesta with limo black tints on the back and some pretty dark ones on the front (found that out pretty quickly though could still see in) and a bolt on twin exit exhaust, making loads of racket and going nowhere...

Anyway, pulled up behind him at red light after catching up to him (saw him go past whilst I was waiting to turn left earlier, light changed after 5 mins and still caught him up) light goes green and we off, he's taking the piss, going slowly (am keeping pace in 2nd) go to get 3rd and am fairly close to him so back off, back to 2nd, (shifting like this pisses me off) he speeds up a lil, so go for 3rd again only to be right up him, this time he slams his brakes on to be a cock, so I say sod this...

Check the road ahead (nice long straight with no traffic) drop into 2nd, unleash 180 lbs/ft of torque on his ass, am alongside him straight away, at which point the knob tries to race me (can hear his crap exhaust straining over my music), looked over, gave him the finger, put it in 3rd and left him for dust...

He caught up at the next light as it was a long red, his g/friend wasn't too impressed and he had a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp, light changed, gave the idiot sign out of the window and went on my way :-D

Owned by a diesel, the shame!

i find it quite difficult to be amused by these stories.

personally if someone wants to tail me with full beams, whatever. if that is the worst thing that happens to me today i think i will be ok.

if they want to race me, they can speed off. They obviously have less respect for life than i do, and that is their problem.

....

I dont bother winding people up either- these days when people get in cars they become violent thugs. Just takes one idiot with a knife, or even just a wheel brace and its curtains. Not worth it.

This Zen-like approach is exactly what I think of driving -

Stories like:

'I repeatedly anoy peeps on the motorway, they pull out to got past i floor it, and repeat.'

Are just dense, I can't see why anyone would want to do that, and how they derive any pleasure from it.

:?

I drive a van everyday and i see this shit all day long, just reading these replys is making my blood boil, you lot sound like a bunch of max power boys!!!

Ben Reza i agree with you to an extent, in that i wont block people's way and act in spite.. but at the same time I'm not gonna be bullied on the road, i pay tax and insurance and if some tool in a Laguna thinks he can give me grief at half 7 every morning then he can think again.

now the point of this thread is to tell your funny stories of road rage , not to show how annoying you can be .

some times road rage cant be helped and some times people just piss you off that much they deserve a finger or to be held up , and this can just start a full blown row

i dont condone it , but it happens , and normally i would let it go , but sometimes the red mist gets the better of you and so far i have been able to laugh about it afterwards , thats what this is about

so can we stop the i`m gay and speed up when you go to over take me please , it not road rage ,it just causes it :x

when i was in my mk2 golf i had some prick in a saxo come up fast behind me on the a50, he was right up my arse so i just pulled into the middle lane and let him past then about 2 miles up he was in the middle lane and i was in the outside and just as i came up to him he started indicating to pull out in front me but as i was so close i carried on. he then was up my arse again so i floored it and left him for dead then as i was sat at a red light at the kegworth roundabout i saw someone walking down the traffic towards me and he came to my window shouting why didnt you let me out! etc. etc. i laughed and he reached in and grabbed me by the collar i dont know what came over me but i just saw red and bit the guys arm really hard, i know thats a bit of a mental thing to do and then was laughing at the absurdity of it he just walked back holding his arm and that was that. dont really have road rage but thats the closest I've come.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!! thats the funniest thing i've read in ages! 10/10 for effort and initiative

Hahahah, my god I laughed hard at smiffyraf1's story. Good man for biting him!

I've only really ever had one experience that stands out in my mind. I was driving through the city when a chap in an extremely nice old 911 pulls up along side me. Now my mate who was in the passenger seat decides to whap his phone out and take a couple of pictures as we were both dribbling over it. We thought nothing of it, but the driver went absolutely nuts. He followed me, revving his engine, driving right up my arse, pointing at me when I looked in the rear view mirror. I brake tested him a couple of times to try and make him back off, but he wouldn't, so I pulled into my estate, stopped and he quickly stopped infront of me blocking me in. He got out of the car, screaming and ranting, so I just calmly wound down the window and said "Sorry mate what's the problem?" to which he replied "You boys were fucking taking the piss out of me, don't ever mock me in front of my daughter (who was sitting in the car next to him), If she wasn't in the car right now I'd fucking kill you both, I've got your number plate so you better fucking watch out!" He then proceeded to get back in his car, and sped off.

I was quite shocked, but now I carry a good ol set of brass knuckle in the glovebox just incase I have any problems like that again and need to protect myself!

I had 1 which I thought was really funny.

Coming back from Peterborough going to Kettering but via Corby on the A43, came to a dual carriageway with a roundabout at the end. I overtook some Renault people carrier going round the roundabout. He flashed and and instinctively, I stuck my middle finger up. I booted it but he kept up. Turned right onto a country lane where my rallying head came in. He got beside where I decided to slam the brakes on and turn round. I don't know where he ended up after that but he wasn't up my ass anymore.

I always carry tools for the car which in certain cases, are there to protect me during this day and age

Going to have keep something in my car with all these stories lol, iv neva had any trouble *touch wood* jsut the odd flash and horn

Fists is the oly weapon of my choice and if things get really out of hand then mr 10" Snap-On screwdriver comes out
