First off, just want to say I'm a VW head, but i also enjoy other makes, and have owned Fiat/Toyota etc in the past, I'm not biased! Just need to vent some rant energy here :p

A guy on a local forum was asking about getting banded steels for his corsa. A few people replied and posted pics of banded steels on a corsa etc. To me in this example it just looks wrong :-

Why put euro style banded steels on a white corsa, that has m3 style skirts, jap style front bumper, horrible chavvy mirrors, a terrible looking spoiler and boot? Fair enough everyone is entitled to thier own opinion but its being referred to as "euro" which i dont think it is. It looks like a mismatch of parts, styles, and colours. Just plain wrong!

See it all the time now, people posting up pics of "euro bora" and its a bora, lowered on RS6's with no other modifications, does my head in.

Am i just an angry chav hater? I dislike corsa's for the most part, but i have seen nice examples (GSI's namely) so its not purely Vauxhall hatred here.

I must get a pic of a local corsa. Its ok for a vauxhall. That thing above is not my cup of tea. Could he not afford to paint the bonnet as well? I dont think he realises that its a british car and he probably wont have a bonnet left a week later. The rust thats on it in that pic probably formed about 3 hours after he stripped the paint off.

It was being done here in Britain in the '60s,and probably earlier.

Quick question where are Corsa's built? As with Renault, Citreon and Peugeot I believe its in Europe so why cant these cars be "Euroed".

I think the Corsa in the first post looks crap but thats my own personal taste if the guys happy with it so what?

I used to have an 84 polo and it was the biggest pile of crap I have ever driven but some of you guys love em myself I cant see why but theres no point me starting posts about how crap I think they are would it change your minds? I dont think so I imagine i'd get heaps for it.

If you go on any car forum you get posts like this where the prefered manufacturer is the best ever and can never be beaten be it styling, speed or handling etc,etc. Peoples loyalty to a brand can be quite extreme.

I see the word Euro as more of a word that caters for al lthings smooth and the cleaned sort of style. Not as a Volkswagen styling only idea.

You are all mad if you dont think some of these Non Vag cars look amazing dropped on wide dished wheels and smooth bodywork! I cant get enough of them!
