if i remember to get some battery's for the camera tomorrow i'll get some for you mate, it looks pritty wank at the min tho after its lose of girth and my excessive use of primer

First off, just want to say I'm a VW head, but i also enjoy other makes, and have owned Fiat/Toyota etc in the past, I'm not biased! Just need to vent some rant energy here :p

A guy on a local forum was asking about getting banded steels for his corsa. A few people replied and posted pics of banded steels on a corsa etc. To me in this example it just looks wrong :-

Why put euro style banded steels on a white corsa, that has m3 style skirts, jap style front bumper, horrible chavvy mirrors, a terrible looking spoiler and boot? Fair enough everyone is entitled to thier own opinion but its being referred to as "euro" which i dont think it is. It looks like a mismatch of parts, styles, and colours. Just plain wrong!

See it all the time now, people posting up pics of "euro bora" and its a bora, lowered on RS6's with no other modifications, does my head in.

Am i just an angry chav hater? I dislike corsa's for the most part, but i have seen nice examples (GSI's namely) so its not purely Vauxhall hatred here.

The guy himself NEVER dubbed it as euro. His motto was, and still is, "Fuck 'em" as is the way I see car modification. I see it as being an individual and doing your own thing, and it's apparent that he has. I actually love the car, especially in the way it stood before it was sold on. I'm sure you, with your "euro style" guru-like knowledge would approve. It's now all nato green sitting on some BBS Splits.

I didn't like non VAG cars that were 'euro'd' at first, but they have grown on me... espesh that Saxo..

its grown on me loads!

I bought my Saxo because it was cheap and it was only gonna be my first car, so I could move on to a Golf or Polo when i got the funds... but after seeing that I wanna 'euro' it! I'm still a Vag person at heart though

Edit: The guy that owns that Saxo has a mk2 golf as his avatar on a Saxo club forum... =]

thought about that but don't think they would suit, trying to find some one to swap the rear (13x9's) for some 7's to put on the front and put the 8's on the back so neither of them stick out as much, failing that i might just burn it and get some thing decent

this argument is rather pathetic, i love that saxo, i always wonder how hard it must have been to get the back lowered on a torsion bar by the perfect amount i bet that took alot of messing about!

^^ yeah my mates had right problems with his VTS! Tbh i think what ever car it is (excluding VW/Audi), if its got all the stereotypical mods from the VAG/euro scene, and they work well then thumbs up! I've got no problem with nicely styled/clean/flushed/smoothed/low/wide/bbs rolling/ checkered roofing car....as long as it works well! I think to get anoyed at people who style their non VW's in this way then say that its got 'euro styling' is a bit deep....what else are they meant to say?!
