i dont like lexus light, neons etc but i do like a highly modified cars with thought and purpose behind it

'chaved' is more along the lines of NON_COMPLIMENTARY mods... ie stupid body kits, wheels to big for a motor, blue tinted lights on a red car, rediculous exhaust... normally on an asthmatic 1L or something! Mods often done for the sake of it, cos people in fast car or whatever have done it.

there are many other 'moddedl options ie, motorsport, rat, pro-street, drag, track, jap/drift, Kustom, sarf london etc etc

Dude, you can bash out post after post on here about what a CHAV is (its actually an abbreviation - Council Housed And Violent) untill your fingers bleed, but the noobs just simply wont digest the teaching and still relate it to styles of cars

To me a chav is someone who likes wearing trainers and trakkie bottoms, probs has a stud in his ear and a gold chain round his neck. I think its probably 'cool' to be a bit chavvy in about yr9 at school, we were all a little chavvy back then, till we grew up and found jeans.

That council house and violent thing is bull, that was made up long after people started using the word chav. I remember about 6 years ago, more infact, when people started saying 'chav' and there were articles in the paper talking about it. Everyone was asking what it meant but no one ever replied 'oh, it stands for council house and violent', that has come about relatively recently.

Its just like all the other boxes we put people into as a society, Fashion Geek, Trendy, Band Geek, Emo, all that shit.

A guy on a local forum was asking about getting banded steels for his corsa. A few people replied and posted pics of banded steels on a corsa etc. To me in this example it just looks wrong :-

Why put euro style banded steels on a white corsa, that has m3 style skirts, jap style front bumper, horrible chavvy mirrors, a terrible looking spoiler and boot? Fair enough everyone is entitled to thier own opinion but its being referred to as "euro" which i dont think it is. It looks like a mismatch of parts, styles, and colours. Just plain wrong!
