any ideas?

i want to et some HID's for angel eyes but i need to make it so the dipped beam alays stays on. i though about wiring into my full bam so it gets power from both but I'm not sure if it will drain the power from the full bem.

can anyone share any knowledge?

Why do you want dipped beam always on?

The dipped beam is your normal driving light, this comes on after your sidelights. When you flash peopleor flick thelever that is main beam.

Your angel eyes "Halos" are connected to your sidelights yeah? So when you put your sidelights on the angel eyes "Halos" come on?

I have both a plastic headlamp and angel eyes in my BM, Ialso have one of my HID kits wired up with no trouble what so ever.

You need to explain yourself a little more for me or anyone else to be able to help you out, give me a call if you like and I'll try to help you out with your concerns.

Mate this is rubbish, why do you always want them on. Even if you always have them on they will still be turned off and on the same number of times, probably only slightly less.

If you turn them on as soon as you turn your car on they still have to heat up in the same way they would if you only put them on at night.

Once they are heated up it's fine, they don't keep re-heating as they stay warm for a while.

I have mine on constantly through day and night purely because it looks good, but that is nothing to do with the issue that you are talking about.

sorry if I'm not clear enough. basicaly because HID need to warm up when i go from dipped to main they turn off, i was told that i need to make it so the dipped is always on (when i turn to full or dipped). it maybe some bullshit thts been passed to me tho,

Chill for fuck sake , mate i got if your putting the HID'S in the angel eyes that have the black strip around the indicator then i have exactly the same ones, mine had not suitable for hid's written on them, are you sure yours don't.

hi mate i have a set that say that written on them aswell is that cause they will melt.i would like hids do you think i should get a diff set of lights

Well just been reading up on this, digging up threads about the subject and it seems that there isn't much reason that you shouldn't do it, a couple of people saying that they've 'heard' of bad cases but others who have and had no problem at all so it's up to you, then again there must be a reason they have not suitable for hids written on the lights.

i dont no to be far, i didnt really see anythin but i think my mate said sumin about it, tis a shame, if someone has the same lights with some fitted then please post and shed some info on the matter, i want some angels with HID tho, nevermind will just be able to spend money on elsewere on the car, if anything i will just save up and get a set that i can fit HID.

Maybe they have that written on to stop people thinking the hids will be legal with those lamps?

Yeah, theres a number of different things. I dont see how they cant be suitable though, Ivehad customers fit HIDs into this type oflamp in the past with no problems at all, wether they're the ame lamp or not... I dont suppose theres much difference throughout.

and is there also a reason why they've designed them SO BADLY that they forgot that the grill surround bolts are under the indicators and nobody can access them now?

HID's wont melt your plastic lenses. Fact.

As Indy said, they run at LOWER temperatures than standard Halogen.

After a set of lights being on 5 minutes, the Halogen lights were hot to touch, where as the HID's were barely even warm.

If you have two seperate sets for your dipped & main, there will be a delay when you switch from dipped to main due to the lights having to warm up, if thats what you were trying to explain Dom?

haha, you have to cut a bit out the bumper and then you can secure the surround from underneath.

ye littleman thats what i was trying to say, so i was going to make it so the dipped is always on.

and hawker i had to scrw from underneath, my mates car that i got them off had a plastic grill and had clips.
