want to KNW THE LARGEST ALOYS I CAN GET, WITH TYRE RATIO THAT WILL FIT POLO MK4 CL MODEL 1995, WITHOUT EXTENDING OR ALTERING THE WHEEL ARCHES??I HAVE HEARD OF THE WHEELS / TYRES RUBBING AND CHAVING THE ARCHES..IF TO BIG???YES??

personnally i wouldnt go bigger than a 15, you wont get a decent drop on 16s , without arch work. and if your after 17s 18s your car is gonna look like its on stilts.

bigger isnt always better

16's max imo, anything bigger looks dire. BBS RXii's in 16" were run on the GTI's and looked mint.

My mate had 17s but removed the plastic inner arch covers.

Yeah that's right, they were 15's on the GTI's, but you can also get RXII's in 16's which I think came on the Golf mk3's? I ain't sure.

Mk4 Golf GTi Anni's had RXII's in 16", I think.

Me personally would stick to a nice set of 15's

60/60 drop on 15's is perfect, anything lower and youll have troubles

thanx people 4 you are advise n input, i have just bought 15" and there big enuf 4 me...i was asking on behalf of a friend....he wants the gti set but there 5 stud [5x112 psd] so never fit polo mk4....but wanted to knw how big of a alloy/tyre is compatible with the polo mk4 [6n] CL model....good to knw.

On a 6n though i wouldnt go any bigger than 15s.

well i've got 15" bbs from a 6n2 gti on mine and its lowered 40mm amd there not a problem and as 4 the 16" bbs rx2 they did come on the mk3.5 golf

15x7's wound the coilovers right down. had to take the plastick arches out and run 165/50s but no major arch mods and it only catches occasionally.

17s with 185/35-17 is the biggest that fits MK4/MK5. That will give correct rolling radius of the tyre. I have them on mine, perfekt! 15s is for winters and pus... ^^

No arch work, and NO SCRUBBING!
