Where are you? Sorry, Sheffield, I'm blind!

First dibs, cash waiting.

Few questions...

What's it run like?

Any service history?

Have you got any pics of underneath, engine bay + interior.

Seriously interested....I want another one!

Right, sorry about this, but I've got to the end of my tether.

I know (before anyone says) that it's sold as seen, and I don't mind a couple of things being wrong / unfinished, but this car has taken my levels of patience beyond taking the piss levels.

Re-feed pipe that connects back into the intake elbow was disconnected, with a filter on the end - resulting in fuel fumes being released into the cabin.

Surge pipe from fuel tank disconnected - resulting in a massive fuel leak whilst taking any corner.

Stainless steel exhaust system leaking in 3 separate places, join, middle box and back-box.

Oil leak from engine - unspecified as to where it's coming from yet, hope it's not the head-gasket.

Gearbox mount underneath hanging by about 1 1/2 theads, resulting in loss of reverse, and having to hold it in 1st, 3rd and 5th.

Nearside headlight held in by 1 screw, wobbles like hell.

I'm sorry again to say this, but it's the shoddiest conversion I've ever seen in my life, and the guy seemed like a really nice fella, but I won't be buying anything off him again.

Hopefully, it's just a one-off, as I feel like a t"*t doing this, but as I say, my patience has gone now.

How the hell it got though an MOT is beyond me, I can only assume it was donre before the conversion.

All this makes the car dangerous to drive, not just for me, but other road users, and my kids / partner as passengers, and I'm sure, in this condition, should not but put up for sale.

I've sorted the problems, but they really should be specified on the for sale thread.

BTW, I still haven't got the other key-fob, or any documents through the post yet, unless that's our glorious postal system at work.

Rant over.

sounds propa wank mate, did u give the car a good going over when u bought it??

well he did say in the main ad Quote:- its solid under as i did some welding for it to pass mot.

hard lines dude, hope u can get rid of it as easily as he did.

Didn't give it a proper look underneath, and that's my own doing, but it should be stated on the for sale thread.

I don't mind the welding at all, it's the mechanical issues that have got me annoyed.

Not getting rid, though. Shat-look FTW.

I can back all this up seens as i've helped with most of the stuff that has to be put right!

Shoddy all in all, loom is just all over the place, just looks like a complete rush job tbh and nothing has been done properly. Looks like it might be a retigneting of bolts on the whole engine before anything else decides to fall off!

documents can take upto 6 weeks, I'm going through hastle with the dvla at the moment for a car i bought.

Love the thread and i'm sure that we have all purchased something that we have later regretted or found to be full of faults, i've been driving polos for 16 years and as the saying goes its sold as seen. However it takes me back to when i purchased a 1.3 saloon on a h plate it had to be the biggest pile of crap ever, i was totally pissed with myslef as a few days after buying it, it started to run awful, i paid £450 it and after 6 weeks gave it to my brother on the provisio that if he ever sold it that we would split the proceeds he ran it for months and the sold it for £250.

Having looked at the advert for your car though no offence but it looks like and sounds like a nail.

Glad I didnt swap now.

Shame to hear you had hassles with it though
