Mk2 Golf Syncro 1.8carb LOWERED PRICE!

Featured Replies

I'm selling for a friend so will do the best I can.

Here we have a Rare 1990 Mk2 Golf Synro, with the robust 1.8 carb engine. They only made about 650 of these roughly a believe to the UK so its quite a rare car.

I believe its Jade green, correct me if I'm wrong anyway.

Heres a list of bits:

- Will have fresh MOT on sale.

- Currently declared SORN as its been off the road for 8 years. But still been MOT'd every year i think.

- 1.8 carb

- PAS

- 17" Alloys with brand new tyres on front, lots of tread on back. It does also come with the standard steels.

- Standard interior from factory

-Bodywork is in good condition, has usual stone chips and little nicks, but its 19yrs old!

-It will also be fully waxoiled underneath on sale too.

-Unfortunately the previos owner lost the service book and receipts for the vehicle but it has been maintained for the MOTs, the car is owned by a mechanic.

- It has had a cambelt, and water pump.

- New track rod ends

-Has central locking and clifford alarm.

-Also i believe it still has original spare wheel and jack etc.

His asking price is 1295ono, seeing as its a rare car in such good condition. If interested please PM.

Will consider sensible offers if interested.

Anyone want to make an offer?

cheers

Love the car and very rare, would be interested however given that there is no service record it is a little overpriced. Also the wheels need dont suit the car.

agreed with the above, would be very interested if the price was right. I personally wouldn't pay more more than £800.

someone on a local forum recently sold a taxed ant tested syncro for £300!

just because a car is rare it doesn't necessarily make worth much, its a lovely colour and looks in good condition but way over priced imo, these cars are like mk2 GTD's even tho there rare good condition ones still don't go for much. good luck with it tho mate

Completely agree but it needs stating that the care is rare and therfore it will be worth more than your run of the mill golf and even though it looks good its way ovepriced. If i was selling i would chuck on some golf steels as the wheels ruin it.

the advert says it comes with the steels...

Yeah, i totally understand what you guys are saying, when i did a bit of research on it i saw that it was probably a little optimistic for the price i've put it at. But I'm selling for a friend, so i have to kinda put it up first at what he wanted and go from there. Also, i agree with you guys on the wheels. its better on the originals.

I appreciate all your comments then. Would someone want to make a serious offer, possibly without the alloys?
