The other day me and a mate went to StyleDynamix in Hayes to have a look and get some tyres fitted and when we got there my sat nav wasn't really sure where to tell me to go when we got there so we had to look around for this garage. So we were driving through this industrial estate when we got to the end so i needed to turn around. So i nipped into a side street not knowing where i was and it was a bus lane. So i turned around and went straight back out the way i came. Not thinking anything of it. Then today i get a letter through saying i've got a £120 fine for it because they caught me driving through it on CCTV!

What can i do? Am i stuck with this fine or should i be able to get out of it if i explain?

Yeah it's £60 if i pay within 14 days but even thats a joke!

And i'm going away tomorrow but i'm going to have no money because of this!

Tell them your car is infact, a bus! And was on the town centre run!

Nah seriously though, little things like that, there is generally no way out of them! I've had MANY many fines and parking tickets, little stuff like that! And there is no way of getting out of them really!

appeal against it explain your case and theyll probably just let it go as they cant be bothered with the hassle.

th same sort f thing happend to me when i was in a car park, i stuck the ticket on the window and it fell on the floor inside the car. i came back to my car to find a £100 parking fine. i sent the local council a letter with a photocopy of the ticket and they decided to let it go.

Pay the £60 and get over it tbf. No point in taking it further and paying £120+!!

i'd rather get out of it too! The satnav sent me down two bus lanes on the way to the RR day.

What do they spend the £60/120 on anyway? Not a decent public transport structure. thats for sure!

spend it on what they like, it's a fine not a tax...

More cameras and operators i would imagine.

they can never get enough dam cameras to catch you doing stuff you shouldn't be doing

on route to the clubG40 RR day, we avoided 1 bus lane as we thought we'd get fined, only to be directed up another one!! Then we mustve done another 5 miles before we got back to where we wanted to be!
