No, what am i looking for, i got one off another car at my local scrappy, Can you tell me how to connect my oil catch tank up and would it be better to change the golf housing to the one where the breather tube comes from the righ hand side as i will be mounting it by the bulkhead as thats where most people have??

Black rubber pipe, 1" diameter that went into the underside of the original air filter box, it's at the other end of that and bolts into the block near the sump

Mine is a different shape again as the oil breather is directly opposite the filter side.

its the little bit covered by tape to the left of the yellow dot.

you cant use the bolts off the golf as the injector plate is a diffrent shape to the polo one, if yours looks like mine then pop down to halfords they sell a pack with 2 black bolts in that are the perfect size and thread to fit with out any cutting, I cant really help you with the oil problem as I've never experienced it, but if the pipe on yours is the same type as the original pipe in mine then you could have twisted or kinked it, halfords sell some radiator hose that will do the trick. (god i feel like an advert)

thats the 1 I've got too

I've got a Mk2 Carb'd 1L

Bought a golf elbow and as mentioned above, the bolts don't line up with the carb.

i understand how i can remove the bolts but how would i go about modifying the elbow to fit into my carb?

is it a case of just lining 2 bolts up and that is sufficient or is it a case of redrilling holes?
