I've bought one recently, really nice car, really nippy and look the part. They are identical to the polo (inside) and drives the same. A couple of problems I have is, the drivers door barrel just turns, how is this fixed? With this being broken, my central locking is not working and is just turning over? Also, I can hear a sqeak on the left side, what is that? Drive shaft? Bearings? Last but not least, I sometimes hear a knocking noise from the engine, when reversing (very rarely) but has done it in the past. Lemme know!

Ok need to break that how thread down with some more details, Central Lock Pump could have gone in which case it would'nt lock you would only be able to open the drivers door....

What model ibiza is it? mk2? The drivers door lock went on my polo estate (same chassis) and it was the bit the connects the lock barrel to the actual locking mechanism. They tend to break just where they attach to the lock barrel. Not too hard to replace, I got a similar part off a mk3 golf on a scrappers and switched it over (didn't have to change the handle or barrel, just this bit inside) I think they're designed to break easily to stop people screwdrivering the lock.
