Or you might be able to find one of these engines down the scappers

The 6A lump. 1 bhp more than the 9A, but i think you have to use the VW exhaust manifold and a few other swap overs.

For a 6A you have to change: Oil pickup pipe, sump, fit the oil cooler 90 degrees, top water hose, rear engine mount, pulleys for waterpump etc for Golf one and the accesory bracket (What the powersteering and alternator strap to). Oh and KR cams are a must!

+ They are not 1bhp more.

Nick S: Fair enough then, they are 1bhp more, but who would care when you have to do so much more work to fit them compared to the 9A.

hahahahahahaha another classic thread, the car was so ridiculous it was untrue, best pics has to be guy bumming his rocco, his lil scamps in the front seats looking more classy than guy ever good, and the gratuitous abuse of ginger people with ginger wheels

I tee'd it up for him, it had to be done.

Agreed. Just that you are more likely to grab a 6a down the breakers and without scene tax.

Peado finger needs to be added to this thread....

swapped the coilies over for the standard (and fucked) set up from the green one, it drives like a boat but feels quicker, guess its due to the danger factor. it really feels like its gonna roll over when hammering it round most bends
