Some companies will accept bike/moped no claims bonus.

Going on your parents policy for the first year then having your own policy for the second year, you'll only get a 'named driver' bonus, which isnt much.

If you're considering doing this, it's worth getting some fake quotes, as if you were a year older, and find out how much it would cost overall over the 2 years.

I don't care. Court case was 2 years ago. If they wanted to convict me they would have found evidence from all the pedestrians that saw me caning my bike with blues 'n' twos behind me.

Yeah man, total mess around, i was on my moms policy..

They never sent me a renewal quote, we had to request one, so thought forget it..

My mom rang asking for written proof of our NCB to show the new insurer, they sent a letter saying my mom had 2 years NCB.. this was the first time she'd ever been insured..

Another phone call and they sent one for me, worded really strangely..

Insured with Quinn, good price, sent them the letter from Direct Line which took over a month in the end, and they said its not a real NCB and upped my price by a fair few hundred quid.

All well.. at least my old girl earned 2 years NCB for only one years worth of driving..

Seems everyone is paying quite alot for their 6n's on insurance. remember confused.com dont search the whole market and sometimes ringing them up and saying you have been refered to the company but was offered a better deal else where can usually help
