mine is a different setup from the 6n. would guess around £1500 but best speak to ray.. hes really sound.

bout the same price as a top coilover setup.. rays have ajustable rebound n damper on the struts also.

as my car is a daily i would highly recommend it.

all I've got. i had 2 have bigger struts up front (same as a mk1 golf setup) so mine was slighty more than a 6n setup wouldb.

if urz is a daily dude u'll love it.

I've wanted to bag every ride I have had so far (except my old man's Cav!) but have never been able to afford it! I would love to have had it on my old Type 3 Squareback. I bet the price has come down a bit nowadays though, so its not a million miles out of reach. I fancied it on my Derby too, ever since seeing one in Belgium on air!

Maybe one day...

thanks alot for all your infomation, I've contacted ray and hes quoted me £1300 for the set up and £700 to fit the kit, however I've been speaking to air ride.co.uk abd I've been advised not to get a set up from rayvern hydrolics as they say they have fixed alot of dangerous kits hes previously installed, they say the component he uses are cheap and are only ment to be used a couple of times a week wher as the kits they fit you can run them as much as you want to. they say Rayvern Firestone airbags designed as “assister” bags on vans – they are not designed for use on cars nor as the sole spring on a vehicle. also uses Firestone basic compressors that are rated at 7 or 13% - it means that you can use it once, and then it need 2-3 hours to cool before being used again.

100% duty cycle means that it can be used continuously, which is what airride.co.uk use, they also say front back set up are dangerous, and they refuse to fit such systems as they have very bad handling.

they say 2 main companies to avoid would be rayvern hydrolics and airbagit.com

so who do you believe? has any who has had kit fitted by ray had any problems with them? cheers luc

Wow what a silly comment to make ray and his team are the best in the uk all his parts are sourced from america??? is there any stories of ray's kits going tits up i dont think so the guys up there are trained engineer's!! what ever he has said is a load of shit to be honest!!!! when was the last time we saw a car on airbagit suspension??? I've not ceen many!!!!

For what its worth, I have heard nothing but glowing reports about Rayvern. They have been in the business far longer than many of these new companies and their experience is enormous. They were leading the field in the UK with hydraulics back when I started getting into modded cars. (A fair few years ago now!!)

I think any company who fits crappy components would be out of business so fast its unreal, especially these days.

You don't build up a good reputation for no reason. And Ray has big rep!

think its a bit cheekie when companys start slaggin off other companys.. politics.. the reason ray doesnt come on forums. rays sound and u wont here him slagging anybody else off.. not how he works.

i use my rayvern setup daily n dont have a problem with it. the bags are not the sole spring.. i have ajustable rebound & damper like a coilover setup.

three of my mates have air on their passats from ray, they really like it and it looks completely pimp but 2 of them have had problems with thier bags ripping and such, one of them more than once, i suppose it depends on the weight of the car etc? but its strange that i have herd this rumor before about the firestone bags being truck bags and not solely designed for constant car use? as i dont own air ride i cant really comment on it other than the fact that i fitted one of the kits for my mate on one of the ssats and i love it, if you get it upgrade the air tank and get a bigger or duel compressors, and slightly thicker air lines, makes all the differance.

tbh a lot of people have rayvern so if a few come out wrong u would expect it the amont of kits hes done, it's natural!!!!

STYLE DYNAMIX now do air ride....there kits are GASS and use V1/2 KONI suspension...

speak to them there top guys and very welll known around the scene.

They did my cousins bmw and quality wise was spot on.
