hi guys i no u get asked this alot but I'm finding it hard to decide on what tyres to put on my bandies, they r 8x14 n 9x14. i was thinking:

8x14 - 195/45/14

9x14 - 205/45/14

i dont want to have a stupid stretch so its dangerous or nething but i have to try n tuck them under a 6n2 arch as best i can, aslo tyre brands differ in stretch so brand names would help too

thanks m8, i just asked the garage they said they will try n fit a 195/45 on the 9 for me so ill just order 2 n then go from there, any brands u can recomend for a good stretch?

I think Falken look a bit better than Toyo, they seem slightly lower profile somehow, few quid cheaper too.

Agree, i have toyo's on my 8's and i've seen the same with falkens and there seems to be more stretch with the falkens. Think the toyo's have harder stronger sidewalls.

it depends on the falkens

if you can manage to get the 512s then yes they're a better stretch, but there discontinued

& they're replaced with the 912 which dont stretch as nice as toyo proxes

hope that helps a little mate, i know your stretching on a 9 but it illustrates the different stretches on the different tyres, expect a lot nicer look on all of them with 9s

hay thanks guys its so hard tyring to get the rite look!

i have gone and orderd 2 195/45/14 dunlops, if the 195 is silly stretch then i can get 205/45/14 in a dunlop too so will have a matching set, just hope I've made the rite choice! ill put up some piks once they r delivered n i have sweet talked the tyre place lol. I'm soo excited to get these wheels on as they've been in my bedroom for about a yr!!

i love them, they r a perfect stretch, just hope they tuck enough not to get pulled! just gotta order 2 more n ill be ready for pod at the end of the month. what sorta psi should i be running?? and are they really that dangerous the tyre guy was a bit scared of me running them but they r only show wheels ;op

They're not dangerous, tyre fitters will always be like that if they've never seen it done before.

PSI shouldnt need to be much if any more than normal mate, i run about 34 in mine (same sizes) and they've been sound for nearly 6 months.

they dont seem to be popping off the rim which is what i didnt want so i think they will b safe as long as i keep pressures up!

Check the pressure after a couple days and if it hasnt dropped you're fine, to be fair of the bead's seated then that's that.

yeah u no, i keep all my car bits in my room as my bro is taking up the garage but at least its all safe n where i leave it!

well ima put em on next week as i need to adjust my coilies n probs uncease them n hope my tyres r here by next week, so ill check what there holding b4 i go for a run. but they look pretty safe to me, I've seen worse..!

i came over, and asked whos car it was and and you said mine and i replied you must be smithy then and you said yep, thats about it

shame you didnt see mine, i was parked at behind the track, near that barn thing where everyone walks through, our club stand was massive, 24 pple turned up i think we over ran our allocated space but i did book 31 spaces....
