15"s On A Mk3?

Featured Replies

Ah, Match wheels. :)

I travel back to Cardiff quite a bit, hence wondering if you lived between here (Peterborough) and there (Cardiff).

Looks like it'll have to be courier then if you do want them.

I'll check the tread depth on the tyres on the weekend.

Ok Thanks if you dont mind once weve got a price can i have a few weeks to get the money together, as I've still gotta pay teh £400 for tehcar and have been laid off from Sainsburys as there starting to struggle lol but ill have them for sure

Yeah I guess.

i have 15 x 6.5 ET33s with 195/60 15s on my loon.

it only scrubs very rarely, but its standard ride hight.

thats what I've started to think as i want to lower the car from standard to 60/70 would these wheels scrub ??

Or would i need to change the way I'm lowering it as its a horrible looking car at standard height

15s on a lowered Polo means arch work (or 185/50 tyres)

or 175's :D

I'm confused

i dont want to go into alot of work with metal and money but want to go for a low profile tyre look with the car not at standard height

basically getting rid of the huge tyres i have now :p

I'm new to all this as its my first car :p

what you confused about brother?

we call it stretch, its putting a narrower tyre on to a wide rim

195's are standard for 7inch wide wheels, personally ad recommend a width of 175 instead of 195

cos the tyres stretches you'll get a lower profile and no rubbing

providing you get the right offset wheel.s e.t.c

any problems give us a shout al help out all i can

I found there was a bit more bump steer with the 15s.

Yeah well when I've got the money together I'm going to get Alex's wheels if hes still selling, then once the tyres need changing ill go for a bit of a stretch look but themost thing i want is for teh car to sit nice on the road

IE looks good lowered to a certain degree etc

I found there was a bit more bump steer with the 15s.

very much agree! dont get it with the 14s, but it makes you keep 2 hands on the wheels at all times

definately! I've been caught out once or twice.

I live in North Wales in Rhyl :p

these are the alloys I've got at the moment

How would these go with lower profile tyres

IE Stretched ??

True depends how much he wants :p
