Iv decided to get rid of the polo now and iv pretty much narrowed it down to a couple options, so basically just wandered what people would go for, and possible reasons for or against :-) .

either mk4 golf, gttdi130 or 150, or 1.8Tgti

or the a3 sport with the 1.8T

or a '99 celica GT with 168bhp?

I really cant make my mind up so any help would be much appreciated

Might wanna try them out yourself. I had a go in a A3 1.8T and thought it was a bit dull and bought a Mk2 Golf 16v instead as its quiker and more fun imo.

The Celica - you cant compare the painfully dull Golf diesel to a Celica 1.8 VVT,its in another world.

celica would be something new but i dont think its a fun car to do up not much you can do

or have you thought about the a3 quattro tdi , chipped up it would be a r32 deisel

Na cant have the s3 was getting quotes for 2grand at the cheapest, and i would never be able to afford that one ^^^

I did have a look at the audi tdi but again insurance was a bit of a problem, granted not as bad as the s3 though, although the a3 1.8T was cheaper to insure than the golf gti....... I reall dont get it

If you get a golf gttdi you can map them to over 200bhp

An A3 1.8T was cheaper for me then a Mk2 Golf 16v by £200

mmmmmmmm No..... My A3 TDi Quattro is certainly no R32. Standard it still wouldnt beat a celica or a 180bhp 20vt

IMO i would go fo for 150brake GTTDI, my ol man had one and it was awesome, quick and cheap to run

no contest. 50mpg and rapid, espeically when mapped.

Golf 1.8 Turb. Remap, rims, coilies.. pimp.

ad say book some test drives and see what you think feels like you are going to have the most fun with, otherwise you would just be taking a risk tbh. :) no harm in trying them out anyway

Why a diesel? I've heard some say that the GT TDI Golfs are a bit of a dog. Get a GTI instead or the Celica.

I'd have to go for the 1.8t audi, as long as its the quattro

on that note, might as well stretch it and go for the s3?

The insurance for the bm was alot higer when i could get a quicker car for less...... Plus i can never make up my mind

Yeah will be out test driving some soon jus wanted to get other peoples opinions 1st or if anyone had any opinions about any of them being crap lol
