thing that annoys me is the people that do 40 in 60's then 40 in 50's then 40 in 30's, bastards

loads of bollocks if you ask for my opinion. Its a limit, not a target. Up to 60 mph, surely some people with sense drive at speeds to the conditions/ road layout.

I've had 2 "crashes". Once, was my Coupe S which I wrote off, below the national speed limit. The 2nd was the 318is that I slid into a field 2 days after buying it... at 40 in a 60...

I personally dont think it will happen, it will be like the driving age going up to 18 thing and the not allowed to own a car over 10 years old thing.

Wont make much of a difference up my way anyway, on my daily drive 75% of which is national zones, because of the stupidity of people not being about to drive in traffic the average speed is like 30-40mph anyway.

But still dropping the limit wont cut any accident rates or death tolls, most of the accidents i see happen in 30 zones and most of the deaths occur in national zones caused by people speeding excessively in traffic or poor conditions so i doubt they care whether the limit is 50 or 60.

And it will take about 30 years for the government up here to scrape the funds together for average speed cameras on all the rural roads anyway lol

They're bloody idiots, accidents will happen whatever speed you are doing, It's human error/ mechanical failure, not how fast you are traveling. When will they realise it's NOT roads which are unsafe, it's the idiots on them that are. F*ck my life they are stupid!

Instead of changing the limits and investing in average speed cameras they should spend the money on repairing the roads and bringing them up to a satisfactory condition, because tbh, i know ALOT of roads that are very unsafe with the amount of potholes in. And it cost me last week when i went in one the size of the grand canyon and wrecked my tyre
