Have you seriously had a look at BNP policies or at their history? Links to Combat 18, their senior structure and Nick Griffin himself, an utter cock. They offer some populist, tabloid policies but in reality haven't the slightest clue on how to run a Government. If the BNP start to gain power in an economic crisis it exactly shadows the rise of the Nazi Party in the Weimar Republic after WWI and we all know how well that one ended.

Don't get me wrong all the mainstream parties seem completely oblivious at the mo and most politicians seem like wankers to me out for their own good, a protest vote is one thing however if you actually believe the bull the BNP runs with then you are a much bigger fool than the people who run this little island.

But Tories are the considerably better of two evils in my opinion. I actually believe,remembering the 80s and Thatchers era clearly,that life was generally better.

They were better on immigration.

They were better on crime.

They did have lower taxes and they did spend those taxes more wisely (the miners learnt that our tax was not to be spent propping up ailing businesses for example).

They did stand for common sense,they did educate this,and without the nanny state factor or red tape that binds us today (green cross code for kids who had homemade skate parks,before Labours health and safety tore them all up and supported the blame culture etc).

Yes they have a strong green motivation,they enforced the catalytic convertor that many modifiers hate. But thats no bad thing if we're honest,and they didnt alienate classic owners.

They made mistakes,like Majors affair and the Poll tax. And paid the price (and we've got stung considerably harder by Labours taxation). Did we expect that much from a government? How far down have our standards plummeted to be looking to the BNP?!

Billions thrown away by Labour into europe,into legislation,Tories made some financial mistakes but we were skint when they picked up,and we're getting poorer under Labour again.

Labour have done far worse than Tory,made far more of a mess imo.

who's to say that the torys are a better party than labor? the only example to how they would cope being in charge goes back to the last time they were in power, they have totally changed since then, how many of the original ministers or polices from there last rain are still present? they even have there very own tony blair in charge.

The faster the traffic,the less time its on the road,the clearer the roads. But they dont want that. Slow the traffic,block the roads,push people onto public transport.

Good point about a reasonable speed. If a straight,clear section of A-road is occupied by someone driving at 50mph,more people are going to be inclined to overtake. If said driver is doing 70mph,those behind are more likely to stay there,the traffic staying in single file.

And that's where the roads are safer - when there's even flow. When traffic is all at the same speed.

We could all cruise at 200mph bumper to bumper on the M1 and there wouldn't be a problem. Until some idiot upsets the flow by trying to overtake everyone at 300 - or more importantly in this case,sits at only 100 in the middle lane causing a thousand 200mph vehicles to have to swerve around them.

The other point was acceptability. Accountability is more the issue. Here in MK,people couldn't be bothered to use a bridge,and got run over on a by-pass instead. So what did the council do? Instead of condem the pedestrians,they lowered the limit on that section. So you now do 70mph,then have to slow to 40mph through an idiot zone.

The problem with this is that it sends the message that its okay to cross the road there. So by what's happened here,if someone got run over on the M1,they'd lower the limit to 40mph.

How about keeping the current limit and telling people its their fault if they get killed?

as for the 40 limit bit, itc compeltelyt natural selection...runnign accross a 60mph road is gonna get messy especially seeign as there is a footbridge over the middle of it and an underpass at either end, you just cant help some people!

Yeah that is one thing I want to put a stop to, people getting free housing/ dole money, unless there is a real reason for it, i.e a severe disability. To picki; I know someone who got nocked up just for a council flat aswell! I think that if you want dole money then you should at least do a certain number of hours of community service every week.

We all know why the government are introducing more ways to screw the motorist, because they want to get the 2.5% back that they've lost on everything.

TBH, I reckon we should just get Clarkson to run for PM and see how many votes he will get. At least he will do something about the condition of the roads and speed limits.

its not just the roads tho is it. i don't vote for them for there racists ways, i vote for them because i agree with a lot of there polices, mostly the ones relating to the justice system, they have the balls to have policies that no other party dare have in case they upset or alienate some one, and that's the problem, the only 2 parties with any chance of getting in to power have no balls so nothing will change.

neither of them will scrap the human rights act, so criminals will always be put before the victim. both of them hate drivers so we're going to get ass raped either way. and both parties have had chance after chance to do this country and its people right, and both have blown it time after time. at the end of the day this country is fucked, what harm could a change make? do you really think it could get much worse?
