sad sad day to see this go, but it has to go as i just cant afford to run 2 cars, I'm only 19! :(

IMG00101-20090310-1427.jpg

as you should all know, its basically a proton gti with the smaller 1.5 engine which i could afford to insure myself on

just took a few photos JUST NOW. so this is as it stands and as i will be selling.

IMG00100-20090310-1427.jpg

less than a week ago, i just had it back from the garage who fitted a brand new clutch along with a brand new clutch slave cylinder to a cost of around £300 ready for the sale

IMG00097-20090310-1425.jpg

today i just put 3 brand new tyres on ready for the MOT at a cost of nearly £100

just letting you know I've kept this car in great condition and upkeep costs waved aslong as i have kept this on the road as my daily driver that has given me hardly any trouble over the year I've had it now...

the only reason for the sale being i am another year older and i can afford to insure a honda civic so bring on the VTEC!!!!!

the m.o.t. and tax is due the end of the March, but as I've said, the tyres were getting a bit low so i replaced them along with the clutch and clutch slave cylinder

I'm sure you know what everything costs so I'm not going to bore/patronize anyone with a price list, but you can appreciate...

it has:

Proton Gti front fog lamps (one has a small crack from a grit lorry which i was not best pleased about, but is hardly noticable)

full lotus designed gti body kit as standard (not missing any alley bolts in arches etc etc all body work in great condition for its year Yreg 2001)

14" standard alloys which i just gave a quick spray paint in anthracite before i fitted the new tyres today (not a bad looking alloy at all)

50mm lowering springs with only a few months use (car is perfect height, i have hardly any trouble with speed ramps, and looks decked with a surprisingly smooth ride)

bonnet raisers for that aggresive look and help with under bonnet cooling)

Smoked headlights as standard with matching darkened corner lamps and chrome indicator bulbs (totally de-tangoed)

clear side repeaters with advan decals above to compliment

flat euro windscreen wipers all around

Momo millenium evo 350mm steering wheel (which i consider to be the best looking steering wheel on the market, with complimentary genuine momo boss)

I will also include a CD player, although not the best, is better than the tape player it had in there when i bought it

which powers 5.25" vibe kevlar components with tweeters sunk in the doors and rear sony xplod 6x9s hidden behind the grills

i will also include the mdf parcel shelf i made with ready made holes for more 6x9s that i would amp for extra bass

genuine proton 5 piece mats which includes the over tunnel mat \:D/

front sport (bucketed) seats from an import honda prelude (really comfortable, but will include standard seats if you want, they are a bit damp from the garage but its up to you :))

front and rear strut braces (the rear still has the wrapper on!)

stainless steel backbox with an awesome note to it which i welded all up myself in a jap style angle

Induction kit

painted rocker cover in raising sun design :-D

theres probably LOADS more I've forgotten like the little things but its been a labour of love changing the stuff on this car and really is a car that turns heads and has had quite a few photographs taken by passing little boys

BAD POINTS (every car has them)

when i was trying to wire up remote central locking i managed to either fuse them or something, but the central locking doesnt work anymore, might be the case of replacing a fuse or a motor, but everything is there ready to get it working, you wont have to completely fit it from scratch :-)

there is a small chip on the front bumper about the size of 5p (being honest)

small crack in one foglight

a few of rust on the rear tailgate under the window (common problem, but no holes or anything like I've seen on honda civics )

the drivers side electric window cable has frayed and tangled in the motor (common problem, i was going to replace but never got around to it, could be fixed by snipping the cable tidy)

erm.. so yeah i think thats it

its been my pride and joy and hopefully someone else will look after it as i have, will miss this satria :)

  • 2 weeks later...

btt, price drop to 800, times wasters

what was the insurance like for it? nice car btw always loved this shape car and over looked cos its proton

Thanks a lot mate, its glad to see someone else has looked at it like i did,

I bought the car on the basis of how nice the car looked and waved the fact it was a proton :)

the insurance for me at 19 male with no years no claims bonus after bumping my fiesta was 1600 so not ridiculous compared to that of a similar car

this is quicker than a vtr saxo btw incase you were wondering about the speed

but handling is ridiculously good due to the input lotus had on the chassis
