I’m sort of new here, had an account for a while but thought it was time to put some pics of my polo up.

I got it in August 2007 for £420 just before I passed my driving test, then I went to the Wales stage of the WRC in it in December.

After that I had to do a few jobs for the MOT, wheel bearing, CV boot, front shock absorber and did the clutch as well. I also bought a new track rod arm from GSF and the bush the anti-roll bar goes into pulled out of the arm, so I put the old one back on lol. I made up some stainless brackets to hold the back bumper on as the side bits had broken. I'm sure there's more but i've forgotten.

I’ve recently acquired some G40 BBS’s, pretty sure they've been used on a cup car, the tyres have "VW cup" branded into them. Also got some weitec 40mm lowering springs, saving up for some tyres for them before I can put em on and some shocks for when I do the springs. I’ve already got a complete G40 interior from *I think* it was the guy that runs storm developments, or at least he works there.

The headgasket is leaking a bit of oil now, I could repair it but i’d rather put a GT lump in it, I’m a bit bored of the 1 litre now .

I regret not taking more pics of the bits i've done.

Yeah I can't wait to gt it, sounds like it should be good fun.

I do prefer squarebacks, but i'm not sure which size tyres to get for the BBS's to make sure they clear the rear arch lip.
