This is the first set of alloys I refurbished, didn't really have a clue what I was doing but I got there in the end. These didn't cost me anything as they were in the boot of my old Scirocco when I bought it but they came up nicely once they were finished:

First I nitromorsed, painted and loosely masked off the P shapes on the wheels:

Then I sanded the front of the wheels using different grades of sand paper on an ordital sander:

Next I polished the wheels with a polishing mop fitted with a hard polishing head and some Autosol:

By hand:

By machine:

Then repainted the centre caps gloss black:

Voila!

They cost me about £70 - £80 to get all the stuff to refurb these but I sold them for £150 so it ain't all bad!

very nice they lookgreat ,its hard work iv done it myself , tho yours look better than mine did what mops did you use n where did u get em from ?

Dreamy, how long did the whole process take?

I used an industrial polishing mop my mate had but you can get em on ebay cheap now!

Took about 20 odd hours I think.

Gotta say great effort has really paided off too they look ace

I'm gonna be applying for work in refurbishing alloys once I've completed my Speedlines.

Yeah silver wouldn't have suited against the polished alloy
