Bumpers Or No Bumpers

Featured Replies

Hai Guise,

Right, I Originally De-Bumpered My Mk2 Polo, And I Really Like It, But I Keep Seeing Them WITH Bumpers And I Like That, Also, I Think People Will Be Like URGH WTF HE HAS NO BUMPERS :S?. Perhaps Maybe Just A Rear Bumper?

Arrr, IDK What To Do, What're People Feeling?

Without Bumpers:

I Will Get Some 'Back2Black' On Them So They're Nice, I've Got Front Frosted Indicators

And The Fact That I Have To Get New Rear Numberplate Lights And Make Some Front Indicators Annoys Me....Hmmm

I'm A Bit 'Special' :D haha, Explain Front Bumper Bit :]

I'd say with bumpers unless you get the panels behind the bumpers smoothed to suit. Also, if there are any sharp edges that the bumpers would hide/protect pedestrians from I think It's regarded as an MOT fail. If the exhaust sticks out further than the bumper it can also be a problem, so without the bumper it needs to finish at the rear valance really.

If you are going to run without bumpers you should plug the holes in the rear valance with some plastic grommets. Where've you put your front indicators? In the headlights?

Yeah i was planning on that, and i was thinking of just getting some random side repeaters from scrappy and putting them where the holes are.

atm it's FAR from road legal :).

Hmm, What Other Bumpers Would Fit My Car Other Than Mk2 (NOT HUGE CORSA BODY KITS OFCOURSE ;))?

ALex

i like the front end without bumpers, but i think the back looks a bit shit without.

doubt that helps much lol

Put the bumpers on!

None that I know of will fit properly, mk3 ones go ok on the back, but leave a gap on the front. I saw a mk2 square a few years ago with mk1 (golf maybe) chrome bumpers - that looked good, but they were infront of standard cutouts in the front wings, so they didn't quite fit the shape. If you look at a mk1 golf with no bumpers, the front is compeltey flat, wings, valance the lot. It would be good to duplicate that.

Unfortunately breadvans do not pull off no bumpers and just makes the car look shit. Coupes and loons seem to manage it a little better.

So with your car i would say bumpers on sir. Plus it detracts from a really nice car not having the bumpers on. Love the colour of the car.

Get em back on!!

From the back it looks like someone has just pulled the cars trousers down!!

with bumpers defo!

Hey man, i have just bought new bumpers for my car as you saw, and now I'm selling it, I'm selling my bumpers. They are in MINT condition not driven or anything and have the chrome strip, and absolutely mint. For you, £115, cost me a lot more :(

Looks gay. Put the bumpers back on. They are standard for a reason...

No bumpers for me

mk2 polos don't look good with out bumpers

get yer bumpers back on

100 % bumpers on !

If it was lowered, the paint all matched up, with the exhaust moved, either to the side or whatever, i think it would look good :)

with...until you get some fat arse rims on the rear....then it works....

but keep bumpers i say

personally i'd make some nice quarter bumpers :)
